DATELINE on NBC. The next episode is called, "Betrayed" that will air this Friday at 10/9 p.m. Dennis Murphy returns with an intriguing episode. I can't wait...,
NBC says, "When a rising star attorney in South Florida is murdered, police
investigate whether her death is connected to a web of fraud, betrayal
and more than $1 billion in missing money. Dennis Murphy reports."
ELEMENTARY on CBS. The next episode is called, "Wrong Side of the Road" that will air this Sunday at 10/9 p.m. This will be part 1 of a 2 part story line. TV fans are excited over at Facebook because Kitty is returning. They are split on "Shinwell" who has been working mainly with Watson this TV season. I like Shinwell and we'll see what happens to him.
TV GUIDE says, "Holmes' former protégé, Kitty Winter, returns to New York
after a three-year absence to warn him that a killer is eliminating
everyone involved with a case they worked on together in London, and
that they're the next targets. As Sherlock, Kitty, Joan and the NYPD
join forces to find the perpetrator, Watson discovers Kitty has a
life-changing secret."
(There has been no TV promos from CBS lately. That's why I haven't put any up on this blog).

Bill Paxton passed away during hospital surgery. He has been in some blockbuster films during his acting career. The first was, "The Terminator" (1984), "Aliens" (1986), "True Lies" (1994), "Apollo 13" (1995), "Twister" (1996) & 'Titanic" (1997). His lead role in "Twister" brought him international popularity.
Paxton was no slouch when it came to television either. He appeared in "The Atlanta child murders" (1985), "Fresno" (1986), "Big Love" (2006-11), "Hatfields & McCoys" (2102), "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" (2014) & his final role in the TV series remake of the movie, "Training Day" (2017).
There have been many good roles in-between. He is from the state of Texas. There was always that southern boy attitude he expresses in each role. As a fan of his work. I admired his small hometown characters the most because he fit into them so well. My favorite is, "A Simple Plan" (1998). Him, his brother and a friend find $4 million dollars inside a small plane that crashed. All three deal with their greed and it leads to murder. Paxton's character, Hank, is the moral center who has to decide what's right and wrong. Even if he has to pull a gun on his own brother.
The independent film, "One False Move" (1992) became a small hit. Even the famous critics, "Siskel and Ebert" praised the film. It ended up on Gene Siskel's top favorite film of that year. Paxton plays Dale, a small town cop who wants to go to the big city and be a detective. When a group of killers come to his town. It is his test to catch them and he experiences a violence he never, ever imagined.
Below is the movie trailers of "A Simple Plan" and "One False Move." Check out these movies because I think they are Bill Paxton's best performances.
(It stars, Bill Paxton, Billy Bob Thornton and Bridget Fonda).
"48 Hours" (CBS) was seen
Saturday evening at 9/8 p.m. It aired at 8 p.m. (central time) in
Albuquerque, NM on KRQE 13. The 2-hour special on Feb. 25, 2017 was
called, “Stalked." In the overnight TV ratings it garnered
4.79 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.7 million TV viewers in
the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “NBA Saturday
Prime-time" (ABC) grabbed 2.34 overall & 0.8 with adults. “NHL Hockey" (NBC) nabbed 2.02 overall & 0.6
with adults.
"48 Hours" is an
investigative program that covers crime & murder in the United
States. This episode was reported and narrated by Erin Moriarty.
“Stalked.” Christina Grimmie was a
talented singer who did not know she had a male stalker. He believed
she was his soulmate. She greeted fans in Florida (2016) and he
approached her with a gun. She died instantly from three gunshot
wounds. He put the same gun to his head and committed suicide. It was
reminiscent of the 1989 death of actress, Rebecca Schaeffer, who was
gunned down by her male stalker. He was jealous of her fake love
affair in the film, “Scenes from the class struggle in Beverly
Hills.” The young man was sentenced to life in prison without
parole.
Stalking has become heightened by the “Internet” and it doesn't happen only to celebrities. There is a reported 7 million Americans (men and women) who are stalked each year. Actress, Pauley Perrett (NCIS)
has been stalked for a decade. She's trying to change "stalking" laws
in California and across the United States.
Note: In the second hour, Erin Moriarty contacts a male stalker who believes he is Jesus and Harry Potter. He stalks celebrities and businessmen. It's disturbing, but what is more disturbing is local police who shame the victims.

9.02 million TV viewers overall. It reached 1.1 million TV viewers in
the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “Shark Tank” (ABC)

are teaching “Five-0” students about how to run a good raid.
(They had just shown a raid that went wrong for them). Both begin to
argue about their trust issues in front of the students. Later, Steve
discovers that Sang Min has entered his home and was injured. He had
quit human trafficking, but was lured down to the harbor. He was then
ambushed by a bomb terrorist named Desmond who is wanted by the FBI. Steve and Danno
sky dive into a remote forest area to search for Desmond. They stumble onto several men who work with
missing uranium.
Note: There is no conclusion to last week's episode with Alicia and Madison. Alicia was given a gun by Madison to end her life. The gun did go off, but we don't know what happened after that...,
ELEMENTARY on CBS. There will be no episode this Sunday Feb. 26, 2017. It will be pre-empted by a 2-hour "NCIS: Los Angeles" that will begin at 9/8 p.m. "60 Minutes" will start prime time at 7/6 p.m.
TV fans of "Elementary" are questioning Shinwell. He has been one of many characters with whom Sherlock and Watson work off of each TV season. He may not be as strong as Sherlock's dad Morland or Kitty. Shinwell seems to be a good friend to Watson though. We'll see what happens at the end of the TV season. He might be a part of the cliffhanger. Stay tuned...,

48 HOURS on CBS. The episode called, "Stolen Beauty" aired back in 2008. The subject was Tara Grinstead who went missing in 2005. She had completely disappeared.
A male suspect has been arrested in Tara's disappearance along with her murder (2017). His name is Ryan Duke who went to the high school where Tara had taught history class. Police got a tip from an anonymous person about Ryan who was never looked at in Tara's disappearance. Her body remains are still missing.

48 HOURS on CBS. The next episode is called, "Stalked" that will air this Saturday at 9/8 p.m. It is a special 2-hour program. Check it out...,
CBS says, "Singer Christina Grimmie was killed by a stalker and Ivanka Trump has

laws. '48 Hours' correspondent Erin Moriarty investigates."
WHERE IS ROBERT FISHER? from Charlie Minn Films. This documentary covers the death of a mom and her two kids. All three were murdered and their home was set on fire at Scottsdale, AZ (2001). The husband and father, Robert Fisher, disappeared the day his family died. He was last seen at an ATM machine withdrawing $280.00. He was driving his wife's truck which was abandoned in a national forest a few days later. Robert hasn't been seen since. He is the main suspect in his family's deaths and has been put on the FBI's "10 Most Wanted List" (2002).
What intrigued me about this documentary was how the disappearance of Robert had captivated the state of Arizona. The FBI had thousand's of leads on Robert's whereabouts which turned up nothing. He was supposedly seen from Guatemala, South America and in Canada. Did he commit suicide? Did someone help him escape? Is he living in Mexico? The biggest question is...,why did he kill his family? The personal home videos don't tell us anything and neither does the wide speculation and rumors. (It's a real mystery and I love a good mystery).

COLD CASES from CBS. Seattle, Washington. Witnesses from 1959 are all deceased and so are the original homicide detectives. The murder of a widow by "bomb" is as cold as ice...,
Crime-sider says, "Pearl Kongsle, a 62-year-old widow with no known enemies, was enjoying a
Seattle fall evening with friends in 1959 when she stepped outside to
examine a paper bag on her front stoop. Inside was a powerful bomb that
detonated, scorching her body and tearing her right hand from her arm,
killing her."
HAWAII FVIE-0 on CBS. The newest
episode is called, "E malama pono" that will air
this Friday at 9/8 p.m. I hope they resolve the cliffhanger last week
with Alicia Brown. She shot that gun...,
CBS says, "McGarrett and Danny
finally track down the missing uranium, which has been used to build
a bomb located in the middle of the jungle. Now, they must carefully
extract the unstable explosive through treacherous terrain before it
detonates."
DATELINE on NBC. The newest episode is called, "Diabolical" that will air this Friday at 10/9 p.m. Dennis Murphy returns and it looks like a twisted story. Can't wait...,
NBC says, "In her first-ever TV interview, Michelle Hadley talks to “Dateline NBC”
about spending three months in jail last year, accused of stalking
Angela Diaz online and responding to “rape fantasy ads” under Angela’s
name. Dennis Murphy reports."
DATELINE on NBC. The episode called, "Ransom" will air this Sunday at 7/6 p.m. This is a repeat episode. NBC says, "A husband gets a frantic phone call from his wife that she was just
kidnapped from their $4 million ocean-front home in Florida. The call
will change their lives forever. Josh Mankiewicz reports."
PREY 2 on ITV. The second 3-part TV series aired in December of 2015. The only cast member who returned was Detective Sargeant Susan Reinhart. She has a new relationship with a man she is very much in love. "Prey 2" didn't garner big TV ratings with 4.28 overall on the first night. "Prey 1" grabbed 7.58 overall in its' first night. It does however have great writing in both TV series.
David Murdoch is a correctional officer who has a fractured relationship with his daughter Lucy. A female prisoner named, Jules Hope, fakes an illness. David brings her to the nearest hospital. He receives a phone call from Lucy who has been kidnapped. She will not be released until Jules is broken out of prison by David. He doesn't know why his daughter is being held, but decides to go on the run with Jules. Reinhart is assigned to the case. There is a murder involving David's co-worker and the chase is on.
People keep their secrets when running from law enforcement. They hide those secrets through murder, lies and greed. There is a twist between the second and third hour that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
"Amazon" has both TV series for sale. Check it out if you can. (Below are scenes from "Prey 2").

Mark. He even shaved his head to resemble Mark. He lived 1,100 miles
away in the state of Missouri. It turns out that Curtis traveled to
Florida on the weekend Teresa was killed.

"Dateline" (NBC) can be seen
each Friday evening at 10/9 p.m. It aired in Albuquerque, NM at 9
p.m. (central time) on KOB 4. Last night's episode on Feb. 17, 2017
was called, “Return to Manitowoc County.” In the overnight TV
ratings it garnered 3.27 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.8
million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic.
"Blue Bloods" (CBS) grabbed 9.99 overall & 1.1 with
adults. “20/20” (ABC) nabbed 4.17 overall & 0.9 with adults.
“Dateline” is an investigative
program focusing on crime & murder in the United States. The
reporter and narrator is Andrea Canning.
“Return to Manitowoc County.” I
watched the 10-part series, “Making a Murderer” (netflix) several
times. It delved into the murder of Teresa Halbach. The focus was
primarily aimed at the defense team of Steven Avery. It raised a lot
of questions about the prosecution team and law enforcement at
Manitowoc county, Wisconsin. Kenneth Kratz (prosecution lawyer) went
on “Dateline” to defend himself. His own written book was plugged
and he called Steven a “psychopath.” He really didn't defend his
job as much as he did after the 10-part series premiered. Kratz says
he is moving on with his life, but there he is talking to Andrea
Canning.
Tom Fassbender (investigator) defended
himself also. He believed that Brendan Dassey (age 16) knew
right-from-wrong and helped commit the murder. He dismissed the
public criticism of his interrogation of Brendan as “arm-chair
detectives.” He also said Teresa's key was not planted inside
Steven's trailer by police. He claims that the police had numerous
places to look. They came back to Steven's home after “seven”
thorough searches. Police, all-of-the-sudden, found Teresa's key with
Steven's DNA on it.
Steven Avery and his nephew Brendan
Dassey were both convicted of Teresa's murder in 2005. Brendan's
conviction was overturned by a judge (2016) who believed his
confession was “co-erced” (involuntarily) by police. The
confession on tape shows Brendan as a mentally slow young man. He
sits in jail pending a new trial. Steven is appealing his conviction
with a new lawyer who is testing evidence that may have been planted
by investigators to frame him.

PREY for ITV. The first 3-Part British Mini-Series aired back in 2014. I heard about it and decided to check it out. It has turned out to be one of the best, murder mystery / chase thrillers, I've seen in a long time. Marcus is separated from his wife and two boys. He is a police detective who is called to where the dead body of a male is found. It opens a 10-year-old case. Marcus obtains computer floppy disc's on the dead man. He brings those disc's to his wife's home and opens them up on a stored away computer tower. He leaves them there after an argument with his wife. A few days later, Marcus discovers his wife and youngest son dead in their home. Those floppy disc's are missing. He is charged with the murder of his family.
Over three episodes, Marcus goes on the run to clear his name. It isn't easy when his own police department chases him down. The truth is eventually uncovered and it has shocking revelations. (The crash of the prisoner van is spectacular).
"Prey" has 2 mini-series and the second one aired back in 2015. I have to catch up with that one and critics say it was as good as the first one. You can buy both TV Mini-series over at Amazon with each one hour episode for $2.99. Or you can by the whole series for $16.99. Check it out if you can because it is excellent...!

“Dateline” is an investigative
program focusing on crime & murder in the United States. The
reporter and narrator is Dennis Murphy.
“The Mystery Man.” Michelle is an
intelligent woman. She was looking for a man to spend the rest of her
life with. She divorced her husband and became a single mom. She then
met a man named “Leam.” They saw each other more, but he told her
he wasn't available before and after, 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. He then said
that he worked for the British government as a spy. She had to
disclose her personal life to get a security check by the British. He
said he would hold-her-hand to get through-it-all. She couldn't meet
his parents and never visit his home. “Leam” passed on Michelle's
personal information and she got emails from a man as part of her
security clearance. That man then asked her to send money. There was
no turning back after that. Everything was not what it seemed.

It is three weeks into Donald Trump's Presidency (2017). The folks at "Saturday Night Live" have great material to use each week and TV fans wish it was every day. There is drama coming from the White House every 24 hours. Alec Baldwin hosted Saturday's "SNL" (02/11/2017). His spot on impersonation of Trump has been a little over shadowed by Melissa McCarthy's take on Sean Spicer (White House Press Secretary). It's all in good fun though as Kate McKinnon jumps into the hilarity. She portrays Kellyanne Conway (White House Spokes-woman) in a rip-off of the movie, "Fatal Attraction" (1987). It just gets funnier and funnier...,
TV By The Numbers says, "In late night, “Saturday Night Live” scored its best metered market
household ratings in six years. The Alec Baldwin-hosted episode with
musical guest Ed Sheeran earned a 7.2/18 in households, the best since
January 2001. Its 3.6/18 in adults 18-49 was the second-best of the
season behind the Nov. 12 episode hosted by Dave Chappelle."
