Ray Liotta died in his sleep while on location working in his next production. He will always be remembered for his role (Henry Hill) in the Martin Scorsese film, "Goodfellas" (1990). It is considered the "best" gangster movie ever made.
He also portrayed baseball player (Shoeless Joe Jackson) in "Field of Dreams" (1989). Joe comes back with other baseball greats to play ball in a specially built "field" on a farm.
I always thought Ray was a light-comedian. He was never "slap-stick" nor the guy who threw "one-liners." He played it "straight." Like in - "Heartbreakers" (2001) where he portrayed a con artist (Dean Cumanno). All of the characters played it "straight" too. They let the story be funny. My favorite of Ray Liotta. RIP....

According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) which tracks the entertainment industry. Fred Ward has 89 acting credits in a long career that began in 1973. He came into prominence during the 1980's with the film, "The Right Stuff" (1983). His presence was very masculine which brought out a funny sense of humor. It showed in several films, "Tremors" (1990), "Secret Admirer" (1984), "Big Business" (1988) and "Shortcuts" (1993).
1985. Ward signed a three-movie deal with Orion Pictures. They developed a series based on the popular paper-back "The Destroyer." The first film was titled, "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins." It tells the story of a New York cop recruited to be a secret U.S. assassin. He would be trained by a martial arts master played by Joel Grey.
The movie premiered to poor criticism and only made $14 million at the box office. Orion Pictures decided to scrap the series. The similarity to "The Karate Kid" (1984) was evident and that film was a box office smash.
However, when 'Remo Williams" debuted on Home Video. It was huge with rentals because of "word-of-mouth." Fred Ward gave a great comic performance as a serious cop! In my opinion - It's his finest performance. RIP....

Naomi Judd died one day before her induction into the "Country Music Hall of Fame." She and Wynonna were a duo named, "The Judds." Wynonna and Ashely Judd accepted the honor without their mother. Country music fans are in mourning because "The Judds" were eveything to them in many ways.
Naomi suffered from depression who claimed it as a "mental illness." There are reports just days after her passing that she committed suicide. That has not been confirmed by the Judd family.
