TRUTH starring Cate Blanchett & Robert Redford opens in limited theatrical release today Friday Oct. 17, 2015. The film is based a on a book that shows the fallout after a news report on President Bush's military service during the Vietnam War. Dan Rather stepped down as anchor of the CBS Evening News after reporting the story for "60 Minutes II." The producer & three other people who worked on the story were fired too. The film is getting rave reviews from critics, but no praise from certain news journalist's.
CBS will not run Commercial Ads for TRUTH. Other networks & cable outlets will be running those ads. The film is after all, giving CBS a bad name because of its' story. Robert Redford portrays Dan Rather who enjoyed the film & gave it his blessing.
