"Ridiculous 6" Julia Jones attends Los Angeles premiere

RIDICULOUS 6 (Netflix) had its' Los Angeles premiere today Monday Nov. 30, 2015. The comedy western will begin streaming online at Netflix on Dec. 11, 2015. The film was written & directed by Adam Sandler who also made a deal with Netflix to produce 3 more productions. 

Native actress, Julia Jones attended the LA premiere who is in the western. She & elder Saginaw Grant have supporting roles. There were at least 100 Native American Background Extras hired to work in New Mexico where the western was filmed.

The official Movie Trailer from Netflix has grabbed 3 million views at YouTube.

"The Mysteries of Laura" NBC will be off for the next 2 weeks

THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA on NBC will be pre-empted for the next 2 weeks because of Christmas TV specials. This Wednesday Dec. 2, 2015 at 8 p.m. has "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Next Wednesday Dec. 9, 2015 at 8 p.m. has "Mat Franco's Got Magic." 

NBC has not announced when "Laura" will return. You can watch NBC for upcoming episode previews through the Holidays. Or just check your local listings. Click on photo below for latest episode of "Laura."

"Elementary" CBS will be pre-empted this Thursday Dec. 3, 2015

Thursday Night Football on CBS will run from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Dec. 3, 2015. It will pre-empt ELEMENTARY which will return next week. 

I watched last Thursday's episode "All My Exes Live in Essex." Someone skinned a woman's body to her bones & then showed it for examination. Also, a female detective is investigating Joan Watson. She wants to know why Sherlock & Watson were mysteriously brought back as consultants with the NYPD. She is also jealous because she's a real detective & Watson isn't. They cannot come to terms with each other. So, they get into the boxing ring. Watson gets a black eye, but apparently she knocked the detective to the floor.

"The Revenant" Cinematographer takes behind the scenes photos of Natives

THE REVENANT will open Dec. 25, 2015 in select U.S. theaters. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio & the western has several Native American performers plus Background Extras. "Creed" climbs into boxing ring hitting $42.6 million at Box Office

CREED opened last Wednesday before Thanksgiving & the weekend. Over 5 days, it grossed $42.6 million at the U.S. box office. I saw it & it's a new ROCKY for this generation 2015. It was inspiring plus it had Sly Stallone taking a back seat as a boxing coach. He was very good & some people are saying he deserves a supporting actor Oscar nomination. It is his best acting work in years.

Mike Medavoy was head of production at United Artist's back in the 1970's. He helped create ROCKY which Stallone wrote & starred in. Mike talks about CREED & how ROCKY was produced. Great insider stuff.

I will not recap my favorite TV shows. I will be off my Laptop for Thanksgiving weekend beginning Wednesday Nov. 25, 2015. It is a much needed break from the computer. I will not recap 1) NBC The Mysteries of Laura. 2) CBS Elementary. 3) CBS Hawaii Five-0. 4) NBC Dateline. 5) CBS 48 Hours.

48 HOURS on CBS. There will be a new episode coming Saturday Nov. 28, 2015. CBS has not yet announced it yet on this Tuesday Nov. 24. According to "TV Guide" the program will follow "The Story of Santa Claus."

"Triple 9" International Movie Trailer has been released

TRIPLE 9 is scheduled to be released on Feb. 26, 2016 in U.S. theaters. It has an all star cast which includes Kate Winslet who portrays a dark & evil woman. She has that wicked 1980's British hairdo.

"Native Cinema" showcase at "Santa Fe Film Festival" Dec. 6, 2015

The "Santa Fe Film Festival" will run from Dec. 2-6, 2015 at Santa Fe, NM. The "Native Cinema" showcase of short films will be on Sunday Dec. 6, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. There will be 10 films by Native filmmakers & the full day screening will be inside the Jean Cocteau Cinema at Santa Fe.

Kurt Sonnenfeld will be extradited from Argentina back to the U.S to face murder charges

If some of you watched last Saturday's 48 HOURS episode on 11.21.2015. You saw that the country of Argentina refused to extradite Kurt Sonnenfeld back to the U.S. He is charged with killing his first wife. He has been living in Buenos Aires, Argentina with a new wife & twin daughters. He still claims his first wife killed herself on Jan. 1, 2002.

Argentina doesn't believe in the death penalty & refused to Extradite Kurt. The U.S. prosecutors claimed that he was never, ever faced with the death penalty in Denver, Colorado. Kurt has been hiding behind Human Rights Activist's which includes his second wife who he married 40 days after they met in 2003. He claims that the U.S. wants to persecute him because he believed that the American government knew about the terrorist attacks before 9/11. So far, Kurt has not given any documented proof of that.

Argentina has allowed the Extradition of Kurt Sonnenfeld back to the U.S. That was back in January of 2015. Check out news report below for information.

"48 Hours" CBS Man leaves country so as not to face charges of murder

48 HOURS on CBS. 11.21.2015. THE STRANGE CASE OF KURT SONNENFELD had Kurt building a new life in Argentina 1 year after his first wife is shot to death in the head back in 2002. He says Nancy killed herself. Police charged him with murder, but dropped those charges because of not enough evidence. Kurt married a new wife & they had 2 daughters. Argentina blocked US extradition of Kurt as Nancy's family waits for justice.

"Lip Sync Battle" Comes back to "Spike TV" January 2016

LL Cool J hosts LIP SYNC BATTLE on SPIKE TV & it is getting very popular. The next TV season will return January 2016. 

The recent battle goes back to the early 1990's. Anthony Mackie performs MC Hammer's 2 LEGIT 2 QUIT & he does a pretty good job. Joseph Gordon-Levitt performs Janet Jackson's RHYTHMN NATION & knocks it out of the park. Boy, those were the days...,

"Dateline" NBC Man hooks up with model just 3 months after his wife goes missing

DATELINE on NBC (11.20.2015). The episode is called TROUBLED WATERS which was pre-empted last week because of the Paris Terrorist Attacks. I must say, it was well worth the wait. I never heard about this murder case which is from 1997. Eric & his wife Pegye go on a boating trip on their wedding anniversary. She is driving the boat pulling him on a water board. He falls into choppy waters, comes back up & she is no longer driving the boat.

Pegye's body has never been found & it is now the year 2015.

Eric hooked up with a hot model actress named Tina just 3 months after Pegye went missing. He confesses to Tina that he murdered Pegye after they both took the drug "Ecstasy." Tina then puts on a "wire" for the police. (I think he killed his wife after confessing to his best friend he was tired of Pegye. That's why he hooked up with Tina so soon after Pegye went missing).

'Hawaii Five-0" CBS Danno goes undercover as a teacher to catch killer

HAWAII FIVE-0 on CBS (Season 6, Episode 9). Adam is said to make a deal with prosecutors so they can try & catch Gabriel. Adam may spend 24 months in jail after he killed 2 of Mr. Shioma's gang thugs. Gabriel is now back with Shioma's gang. Hank promised Steve he would testify against Gabriel with whom he worked for. Hank was then stabbed to death in a prison yard.

Meanwhile, the team investigates the murder of a college professor. Danno goes undercover as a teacher to catch a killer who might be a student. Plus, a new female police consultant/detective is attracted to Chin Ho. There might be a new romance for him whose been actually celibate for the last several TV seasons.

"Elementary" CBS Sherlock's dad plans to stay in New York

ELEMENTARY on CBS (Season 4, Episode 3). "Tag, your me" has Sherlock & Watson heading back to the NYPD as consultants. They investigate the murder of two men who look like twins. Sherlock's father Morland says he plans to stay in New York to be closer to his son. Sherlock is none too happy about that, but there you have it.

"48 Hours" Saturday's episode TV preview on "CBS This Morning"

Saturday night's episode on Nov. 21, 2015 is called, "THE STRANGE CASE OF KURT SONNENFELD." Erin Moriarty reports & "CBS, This Morning" gives us a TV Preview. Kurt Sonnenfeld was arrested in the death of his wife back in 2002. He claims she killed herself & police dropped the charges of murder because of not enough evidence. Kurt then fled to Argentina while police in Colorado re-filed charges.

"Dirty Grandpa" with Robert De Niro opens in U.S. theaters Jan, 22, 2016.

This is not to be confused with BAD GRANDPA from a few years back which was part of the "Jackass" films. DIRTY GRANDPA stars Zac Efron & Robert De Niro. Efron plays the uptight lawyer who is wrapped around the finger of his uptight bride to be. De Niro is at his funniest when he is brutally, brutally honest. His one liners in this wild spring break film are hilarious. The film opens in U.S. theaters on Jan. 22, 2016.

Screen Legend Kirk Douglas talks new film "Trumbo" & the Hollywood Blacklist

TRUMBO is now playing in select movie theaters in the U.S. It will open wide on Thanksgiving 2015. It's about movie screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston) who was blacklisted by Hollywood in the late 1940's & 1950's after refusing to admit to being a Russian Communist sympathizer. He wrote films under another name until Kirk Douglas put Trumbo's real name on the movie credits at the end of SPARTACUS 1960 in which he wrote the screenplay. 

Bryan Cranston is receiving talk of an Oscar nomination as best actor for channeling Dalton Trumbo so distinctly. Kirk Douglas who is now 98-years-old has seen TRUMBO & is talking about it. He sent a letter to the Entertainment Blog DEADLINE HOLLYWOOD. 

He also wrote a book in 2012 called I AM SPARTACUS: MAKING A FILM, BREAKING THE BLACKLIST.

"Creed" is the latest "Rocky" film with Michael B. Jordan & an aging Sly Stallone

CREED opens in U.S. Theaters on Nov. 25, 2015 & the good reviews are coming in. Sylvester Stallone is back of course, but who is now an elder boxing trainer. Michael B. Jordan plays Adonis Johnson who is the illegitimate son of Apollo Creed who died in the boxing ring back in the 1980's. It's always nice to see Rocky Balboa with his talk & swagger even though he is no longer boxing. He was introduced to film audiences back in the 1970's & influenced a whole generation with his inspirational spirit.

An all new "48 Hours" this Saturday Nov. 21, 2015

48 HOURS on CBS interrupted last Saturday night's episode DEAR, SAVANNA with a special news report on the Paris Terrorist Attacks. It might have aired in some parts of the U.S. because of time zones. It will not air this coming Saturday. 

An all new episode will air Saturday night Nov. 21, 2015 at 10/9 p.m., called, THE STRANGE CASE OF KURT SONNENFELD. His wife was said to have killed herself back in 2002 & Kurt left the U.S. for the country of Argentina.

200 senior performers to be dumped from SAG health plans in 2016

SAG health plan officials will have a sit down meeting on Monday Nov. 23, 2015 at 4 p.m., inside the Los Angeles offices. They will answer the many complaints by senior performers. It was announced that "SAG health plan" will drop 200 elder performers by Jan. 1, 2016.

Votes for the Umatilla Tribal Elections on Nov. 17, 2015 have been counted

Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla, Walla Walla & Cayuse Indian people have approximately 2,199 enrolled & eligible voters. The turn out brought the most tribal members in recent memory with 753 voters. There were 611 walk-in voters & 161 absentee ballot votes. My absentee ballot got in with the first group.

I'm only surprised by the turn out, but not too thrilled by very little change. 7 of the incumbents were re-elected with 4 new elected candidates & 1 write-in candidate. I said before that I left my absentee ballot half empty because none of the candidates contacted me with only 2 seeking my vote. YOU HAVE TO EARN MY VOTE & the majority did not. 2 of my selections were elected. I will reach out to them & congratulate from Albuquerque, NM. 

The absentee ballot fiasco by the Election Committee was unfortunate. They did however offer to pay postage & extended the deadline up to election day. So, there you have it. Your voice will not count if you didn't vote.

"Marco Polo" lands 2 nominations from American Society of Cinematographers 2016

MARCO POLO on Netflix has nabbed 2 nominations with the "American Society of Cinematographers" ASC. The awards ceremony will be on Feb. 14, 2016. I Recapped each of the 10 episodes in the first TV season. It is a very good TV series starring Benedict Wong & the beautiful Joan Chen. Netflix has picked up the series for a 2nd TV season. Screenwriter John Fusco serves as producer who wrote the ABC mini-series "Dreamkeeper."

Sherlock & Watson are back with the NYPD as consultants. Sherlock's dad Morland pulled some strings financially & politically. The drama continues from him who now seems to want to protect his son even though they've been estranged for years. We'll see what happens. The Los Angeles premiere will be on Nov. 30, 2015 right before its' release on Dec 11 over at Netflix. Sandler has made a deal with the streaming giant to produce 4 productions. Several Native Americans will probably not watch it because of the controversy last Summer over the depiction of natives in the written screenplay. There were over 100 Native Background Extras hired for the film & elder Saginaw Grant plus Julia Jones are featured players in the western.

Tribal absentee vote ballots returned as Election Day arrives Nov. 17, 2015

Umatilla Tribal Elections 2015. A Post Office Glitch has returned absentee ballots for those Tribal members who live off the Indian Reservation. Mine was not returned, so my vote is in for the Elections. Below is what went down on Nov. 14, 2015 & is causing drama from off Reservation voters...,

"POTENTIAL ACTION NEEDED TODAY FOR ABSENTEE VOTERS" / TO: Tribal Members Voting by Absentee Ballot. / FROM: Tribal Election Commission. / DATE: 11.14.15.

"The Tribal Election Commission has been informed that several absentee ballots mailed to the Commission’s Post Office box were returned to the voter due to a glitch in the Post Office computer system. The Commission does not know how many absentee ballots were returned. To ensure that those returned absentee ballots can be received by Election Day, the Election Commission encourages absentee voters who have had their ballots returned to resend their absentee ballots by overnight mail from any US Post Office at the Commission’s expense. You must go to a Post Office in person, place a regular 48 cent stamp on the envelope, and request delivery for “postage due-overnight.” You must mail your absentee ballot by this method today, Saturday, November 14, in order for your absentee ballot to be received at the Election Commission Post Office box by Election Day. Of course, any Tribal member casting an absentee ballot may do so by delivering the ballot to the absentee vote collection boxes at the Nixyaawii Governance Center on or before Election Day, November 17."

2nd TV season of "Better Call Saul" to premiere on AMC Feb. 15, 2016

AMC announced that BETTER CALL SAUL will premiere on Feb. 15, 2016 at 10 p.m. This will be the 2nd TV season of the now popular series which was filmed at Albuquerque, New Mexico. The first TV season nabbed 5.9 million TV viewers overall last February 2015. It grabbed 3.7 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. It has also come off a slew of Emmy Award nominations.

"Jane Got a Gun" release on Nov. 25, 2015 in France has been cancelled

TV shows, movies & music concerts are continuing to be cancelled at Paris, France after the terrorist attacks. It was just announced by Entertainment Weekly that the release of the western JANE GOT A GUN has been postponed. It was scheduled to open on Nov. 25, 2015 at Paris. Mars Distribution is handling the western in France & they made this announcement on their website Monday. More news to come.

JANE GOT A GUN was filmed at Santa Fe, New Mexico & it is still on schedule to be released in the U.S. coming February 2016. (Click photos below for the "coming soon" website for complete news & information).

Showtime 2015 documentary "Listen to Me Marlon" on Marlon Brando

SHOWTIME is now streaming TV shows & movies over at HULU. You have to subscribe to get a free trial. "Listen to Me Marlon" on actor Marlon Brando premiered at Sundance earlier in 2015. He talks about who he is as an actor plus a human being. He has been a part of so many classic films that endure the test of time. I'm gonna watch this fascinating documentary & my favorite performance of his was in the "Last Tango in Paris" (1972). 

He won the best actor Oscar twice for ON THE WATERFRONT (1954) & THE GODFATHER (1972).

"Sicario" is one of the biggest Independent films at the box office 2015

According to the website INDIE-WIRE. The action drama SICARIO is one of the highest grossing Indie films of 2015. It premiered to rave reviews from critics. The production budget was a mere $30 million & was partly filmed at New Mexico. It stars Emily Blunt, Benecio Del Toro & Josh Brolin. It has been in U.S. Theaters for 8 weeks now & has grossed $45 million. It has grabbed $29 million at the Foregin box office & nabbing $75 million World Wide as of Nov. 15, 2015.

SPECTRE has grossed an estimated $130 million in U.S. Theaters. It stays on top of box office for second week ending Nov. 15, 2015. James Bond 007 has grabbed a whopping $413 million at the Foreign box office. The grand total has climbed to $543 million World Wide which broke even at $245 million with the production budget.

48 HOURS special report on minute by minute of Paris Attacks

Peter Van Sant tracks minute by minute on the Paris Attacks. 3 suspects who helped the 7 terrorist's were arrested at the French border & in Belgium. 3 of the terrorist's blew themselves up. 4 of them were killed by French police. 129 people were shot to death. 352 were injured & 100 are in critical condition. 1 U.S. college student was killed who was an exchange student.

"Jane Got a Gun" press junket & premiere cancelled in Paris, France after attacks

129 people have died & 352 are injured after terrorist's attack Paris, France. 3 of the 7 suicide bomber's had killed themselves. 4 were shot by French police. 1 American has also been killed. The French borders have been closed as 1,500 military soldiers have been deployed. The terrorist group ISIS is now claiming responsibility.

The Western film JANE GOT A GUN was scheduled to begin a press junket on Sunday before the film's premiere on Monday. It has been cancelled due to the attacks. The movie is still slated to open in France on Nov. 25, 2015 & it stars Natalie Portman. The western was filmed at Santa Fe, New Mexico.

CBS "Hawaii Five-0" Adam is kidnapped but kills 2 men before getting away

HAWAII FIVE-0 on CBS. (S06E08). Adam didn't tell his wife Kono that he was kidnapped. He kills Mr. Shioma's thugs & then gets away. More thugs catch up to him & he is surprised that Gabriel has bought his way back into the good graces of Mr. Shioma. Gabriel erases the death warrant on Adam after he helped Gabriel. Adam has to tell Kono what happened, but will he?

CBS "48 Hours" will pre-empt Saturday episode Nov. 14, 2015 to cover Paris Attacks

48 HOURS will not air the already scheduled episode "Dear, Savanna." It will instead run a live news report from Paris, France where 129 people died from a terrorist attack. It has been reported that 1 American has died in that attack. CBS will then air the Democratic Presidential debate.

CBS has not announced when they will run the "Dear, Savanna" episode.

CBS "Hawaii Five-0" has Gabriel returning to wreac havoc on the island

HAWAII FIVE-0 on CBS. (Season 6, Episode 8). Well, Gabriel is a complete menace to society. Let me get you all up to speed. He gave Chin Ho $5 million to help Danno save his brother Matthew from a Colombian drug leader. Gabriel wants Chin to pay him back after escaping from prison. He then kidnaps Adam & Kono on their honeymoon. He forces Adam to give him money to get away from an international gang leader named Mr. Shioma. Adam is marked for death after helping Gabriel.

Last night, Gabriel returned & has his hands in everything from illegal guns & buying off small time crooks. He exacts revenge against Chin, Adam, Kono & the "Five-0" team. The man is pretty ambitious & ruthless.

"Dateline" episode pre-empted by Paris Attacks Friday Nov. 13, 2015

DATELINE on NBC. The episode TROUBLED WATERS which was supposed to air on Friday Nov. 13, 2015 was cancelled by NBC. The network ran a special episode of the Paris Attacks which left 120 people dead & many injured.

NBC has not announced when they will air TROUBLED WATERS. The Sneak Peek trailer looks quite intriguing too. I hope to see it soon. Check your local listings because DATELINE also airs on Saturday night.

"Spirit Game: Pride of a Nation" documentary trailer is released 2015

As part of Native American Heritage Month 2015. (As I reported earlier). XLrator Media acquired the rights to distribute the Iroquois Lacrosse documentary "Spirit Game: Pride of a Nation." 

The Wrap says, "The documentary follows The Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse Team on the road as they compete in the 2015 World Box Lacrosse Championships. For the first time ever, the Championship Games were held on an Indian Reservation, in Onondaga in upstate New York, the Capitol of the Iroquois Confederacy."

"Elementary" CBS Joan Watson confronts Sherlock's dad Morland

ELEMENTARY on CBS (Season 4, Episdoe 2). "Evidence of things not seen" was last night's episode where Sherlock finally talks to his dad Morland. They hadn't seen each other in 5 years. Morland put his son into rehab a few years ago back in England. He has a lot of money & he came to New York to help, but Sherlock doesn't trust him all that much.

As both Sherlock & Watson are helping the FBI on 3 murders. Joan visits Morland & tells him he is a terrible father. She also did her own investigating on the more than absent daddy. She will not let him hurt Sherlock who is her best friend. (You go Watson!).

Umatilla Tribal elections coming Nov. 17, 2015

Even though I live off my Indian Reservation back at Oregon. I am still enrolled & can vote for our tribal elections. I receive our tribal newspaper in the mail & read each page. The tribal elections are Nov. 17, 2015 & I already sent in my absentee ballot. I explained earlier that I left a lot of boxes empty because 95% of the candidates didn't even reach out to me. My vote counts whether you are elected or not.

Here are the givens. The candidate with the most family members will be elected because of their loved ones. The Tribal member Catholic vote is still very strong & some candidates will benefit from that who are Catholics. Also, our Indian people don't like change & that is why some tribal members continue to stay in office. It really has nothing to do with helping our Tribal people.

I voted for those who have a platform & will use that for change in helping our people in the future. It is important now because of our Indian Casino. I know that I will not be surprised after these elections, but wish I would be.

"The Revenant" producer Scott Golin talks movie set & production

THE REVENANT starring Leonardo diCaprio & Tom Hardy opens in select theaters on Dec. 25, 2015. It will open wide on Jan. 8, 2016. DiCaprio has a Native American wife & half-breed son in this Western based on true life events.

Producer Scott Golin talks about the filming of THE REVENANT with the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER round table. Interesting stuff.
