Adnan has a witness who claims she saw him in the school library when Hae Min Lee was killed. That witness came forward but was never called by Adnan's lawyer at trial. The SERIAL podcast was so popular that Adnan was granted a new trial. A judge has now re-opened Lee's murder case.
Personally, I don't think Adnan had a fair trial with not enough evidence to convict him. I think he knew what happened to Hae Min Lee though. He was an accessory to murder because his so-called friend Jay had killed her.
