Alex Rios found guilty of beating 2 Navajo Indians to death at Albuquerque

Albuquerque, NM. -- I used to live in the area where both Navajo's were beaten to death back in 2014. There is still a candle vigil set up there, but the homeless no longer sleep in that area. Alex Rios was convicted of second degree murder. One teen involved made a plea deal to testify against Alex. The third teen is scheduled to go on trial in September of 2016. The defense of Alex has always claimed he only watched as the other teens, (15 & 16) beat the Navajo's to death. They were covered in blood except Alex, but all were drunk. A jury didn't believe the defense as he may spend multiple years in prison for 2nd degree murder. He was also found guilty of more than 20 charges. He will be sentenced in 2 months.
