Billboard Magazine announced that Natalie Cole will be buried next to her parents at Forest Lawn in Los Angeles. Her funeral will be Monday Jan. 11, 2016. Singer & good friend Chaka Kahn will sing at the funeral.
Aretha Franklin paid tribute to Natalie in concert on Saturday Jan. 2, 2016. She sang Natalie's hit song, "Inseparable." The press pitted them against each other in the 1970's when Natalie ended Aretha's reign during the Grammy awards as best R&B female performance. They respected each other though & became great friends.
The Apollo Theater in New York paid tribute to Natalie on its' Marquee after she passed away New Years Eve 2015.
Oprah Winfrey also paid tribute to Natalie through her interviews. The 1996 talk was to promote Cole's CD "Stardust" & in 2002 with the CD "Ask a Woman who knows."
