THE REVENANT opened in the U.K., South Korea & Italy nabbing $31 million in theaters over this "Martin Luther King Jr." holiday weekend. It has garnered an estimated $29 million for its' 2nd week in wide release at North America. The domestic box office climbs to $93 million. The Foreign box office stands at $58 million. The world wide total up to Jan. 17, 2016 is $151 million. The production budget was $135 million. The western film grabbed 12 Oscar nominations last Thursday Jan. 14, including "best picture." It broke even & will continue to make more money for 20th Century Fox.
