'Endeavour' Season 4, Constable Morse's 'Sargeant Exam' disappears

ENDEAVOUR on PBS Masterpiece. (S4E1). The first episode is called, “Game.” The final TV ratings garnered 7.56 million TV viewers overall. This is the prequel to the popular “Inspector Morse” TV series. 

“Game.” Joan Thursday left home after the bank robbery that almost got her killed. It scared her and she fled Oxford in fear. Her brother also went off into the army. Her dad, inspector “Thursday”, cannot deal with Joan leaving. Constable Morse realized that he cares for Joan too and is also shocked that she left Oxford.

Morse had taken the Sargeant’s exam and his test papers disappeared. That exam became an automatic failure. His Boss tells him he may have made enemies inside the police force and in the Oxford community. His record of solving crimes is now widely known. He has to take the exam again.

There has been a string of murders that involve victims drowning in water. Morse is led to a group of scientists who work with early computers. An unknown person is seen building masks resembling the victims who drowned…,
