'A Touch of Frost' is excellent TV crime drama

A TOUCH OF FROST is now on BRIT-BOX. It ran for 15 TV seasons (1992-2010) with each episode running no less than 90 minutes. At its’ most popular. The TV crime show grabbed nearly 17 million viewers. The final 2 seasons nabbed no less than 8 million viewers overall.

David Jason plays Detective Inspector Frost who relies on his instincts and hunches to catch criminals. Even when he deals with the start of the computer “Internet.” Frost is a cantankerous detective who comes off as a near comic character. His comedy comes from every day drama. What also makes him interesting are his new partners in almost every episode. I never thought solving crimes was this much fun.

I have 2 favorite episodes. -- “Fun Times for Swingers” (Season 4, Episode 3). Frost investigates the death of a male Gigolo. There are moments of hilarious laughter when the older male detectives uncover all the sex this Gigolo performs. – “Appendix Man” (Season 6, Episode 1). Frost tries to resign after one of his partners is killed. He is brought back to investigate the murder of an artist who has many alias names. It connects him to another murder that happened several years before.

You can watch “A Touch of Frost” for free on YouTube uploaded by TV fans. Or you can go over to BRIT-BOX and pay $6.99 after a 7-day free trial. With your subscription you can watch many other British crime TV shows.
