VERA on "Amazon" and "Britbox." The U.S., doesn't have ITV unless you subscribe for it online. But, the TV show doesn't air across the pond to America. Nonetheless - it is broadcast in over 20 countries around the world.
The TV ratings were good during its' first season. It has grown ever since to a whopping 8 million viewership (each episode) during the 9th TV season. Because of those ratings. ITV has renewed it for a 10th season. Filming began back in the spring of 2019.
What I love about the show is the mysterious twists on who the killer is. I'm surprised with each episode and always guess the wrong killer. Plus, I think Brenda Blethyn is fantastic as Vera. Each episode is 1 hour and 30 minutes. (My TV recaps of season 9 are below).
