"The Seagull." Vera Stanhope (Brenda Blethyn) and her homicide team are called to an underground drainage tunnel. A human skull was found that has been there for more than a decade. It's a male named Robbie who was bludgeoned to death. He was found next to the Seagull nightclub which was popular back in 1995. Vera said she used to frequent that night spot.
Robbie's mother knew he had died and said he went to a birthday party in 1995. He never returned home. A man who owned the Seagull acted like he was a mobster. He was never charged over his illegal activities. A black male turns up murdered after he asked questions about Robbie's death. This man's girlfriend leads Vera to her father who was a corrupt cop. He sits in prison....
