CNN report. "He spent 20 years in prison for murder. Then someone else confessed to the same crime."
Hwaseong, South Korea (1986-1991). A male serial killer had murdered 10 females within a 5 year span. A 13-year-old teen girl was also found raped and killed in 1988. Police arrested a repairman named "Yoon." He was interrogated and had confessed. He was sentenced to prison for 20 years....
In 2019. DNA matched a man named "Lee" to three of the female victims. He later confessed to killing all 10 women/girls and that included the teen Yoon had claimed to have to killed. Lee is serving a life-sentence in prison for the rape and murder of his sister-in-law.
Yoon is now out of prison and wants his name cleared. The problem is with his DNA that links him to the crime scene of the teen girl. Lee's DNA hasn't been tested for the same murder.
