The DATELINE (NBC) episode called, "Sex, Lies & Murder" aired Friday night (4/9/2021) at 9/8 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 2.95 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.4 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "20/20" (ABC) grabbed 2.64 overall & 0.5 with adults. "Magnum PI" (CBS) 5.33 overall & 0.5 with adults.
"Sex, Lies & Murder." Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan 2012. A black, Mercedes Benz, SUV was seen parked in an alley at a seedy part of town. Jane Bashara was found inside - strangled to death. She was driving home after work- the night before. Her husband Bob claimed that she never reached home. Both of them were going to do things together at 8 p.m.
Bob was cooperative with police and gave them his DNA.... He also had a mistress and a penchant for sex bondage - outside of his marriage.
