2022 Golden Globes on Sunday Jan. 9 will have no celebrity presenters & no red carpet

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) have not yet announced where their "Golden Globes" award show will be.... However - They did announce that there will be no red carpet and no celebrity presenters. Stay tuned....

NBC decided to cancel the 79th annual prime-time broadcast for 2022. The HFPA came under wide criticism in 2021 after internal organization problems. That included Diversity where only a few "black" journalists were part of the HFPA. "White" members reportedly looked down on those black members. Plus, diversity was not inclusive with the nominations over the past few decades. The other problems went from blatant racism to sexual harrassment.

The organization consists of journalists from around the world. They nominate and choose the winners.

The HFPA has changed their rules & regulations. Plus, added 22 minority journalists as members. Most of them are "black." Where are the Latino, Asian and Native American journalists...?

The organization has apologized and decided to move forward with the 2022 award show. Celebrities turned down the announcements of the 2021 nominees. Rapper "Snoop Dogg" was tapped to read off those nominees who even mis-pronounced celebrity names. Since the Golden Globes have no home for their award show. The nominations were announced by live stream on "YouTube" at an undisclosed location.

The HFPA may have a long way to go before recovery. The Golden Globes used to have high profile celebrities from movies and television. At the moment. The major networks and movie studios want nothing to do with the HFPA.
