DATELINE on NBC. The Dennis Murphy segment, "Cold Blooded" continues to play out in a Florida courtroom (2023).
Daniel Markel was gunned down and killed inside of his home garage. He was in a bitter divorce and child custody battle. His ex-wife Wendi Adelson has a mother Donna and brother Charlie. They both hated Daniel.
Police detectives arrested Luis Rivera and Sigfredo Garcia who say they were hired to kill Daniel. Katherine Magbanua used to work for Charlie Adelson. She was paid by him to find a gunman to take out Daniel.
The "Cold Blooded" episode had ended with no arrests of the Adelson family in connection with the gun-for-hire.
That has all changed in 2023.... Rivera, Garcia and Magbanua were convicted. Charlie Adelson was also convicted as the man behind the gun-for-hire. His mom Donna tried to flee America for Vietnam with a one-way-plane-ticket. She was arrested and awaits trial for conspiracy to kill Daniel.
As for Wendi Adelson. She claims that she didn't know about her brother's plan to kill Daniel. In a police interview. She claimed that she drove to the crime scene right after Daniel was killed. Did she know about the conspiracy to murder her ex-husband?
The "Cold Blooded" video has been taken down by NBC and it is not streaming on the network's podcast episodes.
