 "Greetings Fellow SAG-AFTRA New Mexico Members,"

"Happy spring! It’s fabulous to enjoy the spring weather, and along with it, a bump in projects coming to New Mexico."

"It’s been a very busy past few months for the local, with lots of events to engage you, our valued member. I’ve really enjoyed meeting so many of you at our various gatherings:"

"Back in the summer and fall, strike actions and support events at the Netflix Studios, Tiguex Park and in Santa Fe."

"Once we had a contract pending, we celebrated at the Tractor Brewing Company."

"After it was up for ratification by members, we were honored to have National Executive Director & Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland present the details and answer our questions in person."

"Then it was the holidays, and time for a membership meeting and party."

"The SAG Awards viewing party offered one more chance to get together and celebrate our union family."

"For those interested in the new background coverage with Netflix in Albuquerque, we were able to offer an online informational session, brilliantly presented by SAG-AFTRA National Director, Background Contracts Stephanie Perry."

"We have had a record-breaking uptake in committee membership this term. Thank you for your involvement in our local. Your voice is important to us."

"If you have SAG-AFTRA friends who have recently moved to our market, you may want to encourage them to transfer their membership to New Mexico, as they won’t get our local mailings and announcements until they are registered here." 

"At the end of January, when our legislature was in session, I had the privilege of meeting many of our state politicians and being presented to the House, thanks to our fabulous legislative committee chair, Bronwen Murray, who also set up a one-on-one for me with our governor, Michelle Lujan Grisham. We are fortunate to have a governor who is responsive to our industry and wants to see it grow."

"We are planning more events to build our community and more opportunities for you to learn and grow. Look out for announcements soon."
