WEREWOLVES distributed by BRIAR-CLIFF Entertainment 2024. It stars Frank Grillo and it has climbed to $2,044,393 million at the word-wide box office.
I finally walked into a movie theater to watch this. I had my bucket of popcorn and laughed my A** off at how bad it is.
The Internet Movie Database (IMDB) gives us a short synopsis, "Two scientists try to stop a mutation that turns people into werewolves after being touched by a super-moon the year before."
The movie trailer is better than the film itself.
That says a lot about the screenplay. Personally, I think the writer(s) ripped off the horror movie, "The Purge." People spend a certain amount of time at night going on a killing spree. In "Werewolves", they replace people at night under a full moon.
A mother and daughter barricade their home. The mom only has a shotgun with very little ammunition. So much for preparation in fighting these Werewolves who are going to attack her house. When she runs out of ammo. She picks up a kitchen knife which doesn't work. Then, she is thrown onto the floor by a werewolf and an "Ax" just happens to be right above her on the floor. (Hahahaha.!!!).
Her brother-in-law is trying to get back to this house. Him and this female scientist run through the town with only hand guns. When they try to get past these Werewolves. The female scientist explains that wolves can track and smell humans.... But..., they can't smell these two humans. (Hahahaha.!!!).
The actual Werewolves looked pretty cool and are part human. But, they had no purpose until the sun rises the next morning.
What is totally outrageous is when the brother-in-law stares at the moon and turns into a werewolf. He then battles a "bad" werewolf and later enters the home of his sister-in-law. She shoots a hole into the ceiling with her gun. Then, as the sun shines through he turns back into a human. (Hahahahaha.!!!).
I am only "scratching" the surface of this ridiculous movie. There is too much to talk about. (Oh, Lordy.!!!).
It's better to watch this in a movie theater instead of "online." You can have fun laughing as loud as you want with other audience members.
