ABC cancels 'Roseanne' TV show after Roseanne Barr's racist comment

ROSEANNE on ABC. I usually don't post news like this, but it is important to show how the impact of social media has on Entertainment. 

The TV reboot of "Roseanne" had garnered huge TV ratings earlier in 2018. Roseanne Barr is the comedian and "star" who had always posted controversial comments on her "Twitter" account. She went over-the-line and into racism on Tuesday morning May 29, 2018. ABC abruptly cancelled the 2nd TV season of the TV sitcom. (Below is the ABC news report).

'48 Hours: NCIS' Disappearance of a Navy sailor from 1968

48 Hours: NCIS” (CBS) can be seen each Tuesday evening at 10/9 p.m. It airs at 9 p.m. (mountain-time) at Albuquerque on the KRQE 13 station. Last night’s episode was called, “A Sailor’s Honor.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 4.34 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.5 million TV viewers in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “World of Dance” (NBC) grabbed 8.17 overall with 1.8 with adults (9-11 p.m.). “Splitting up Together” (ABC) nabbed 1.75 overall and 0.4 with adults. 

“48 Hours: NCIS” is an extension of the regular “48 Hours.” It focuses on military stories involving murder and mystery.

A Sailor’s Honor.” Off the coast of the country of “Philippines.” Jan. 17, 1968. Andrew Muns served in the United States Navy. He was proud to serve his country during the tumultuous Vietnam War. He handled the payroll on the USS “Cacapon” ship. He disappeared on Jan. 17 along with $8,600. The Navy investigated his disappearance for 6 months, but decided that Andrew was a deserter of the Navy. 40 years have gone by and Andrew’s cold case was re-opened. There is no dead body and no evidence. There was $51,000 in the ships safe, but only $8,600 of payroll was missing. What happened to Andrew Muns...?

'Elementary' Sherlock doesn't recall bringing home a severed head

Elementary” (CBS) can be seen each Monday evening at 10/9 p.m. It can be seen at 9/8 p.m. (mountain time) on the local KRQE station at Albuquerque. Last night’s episode was called, “Bits and Pieces.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 3.96 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.4 million TV viewers in the all important 18-49 adult demographic. “Stanley Cup Finals Game 1” (NBC) grabbed 4.84 overall & 1.6 with adults (8-11 p.m.). “The crossing” (ABC) nabbed 2.73 overall & 0.5 with adults.

“Elementary” stars, Jonny Lee Miller (Sherlock Holmes), Lucy Liu (Joan Watson), Aidan Quinn (Captain Thomas Gregson) and Jon Michael Hill (Detective Marcus Bell).

Bits and Pieces.” Watson and detective Bell are investigating a woman’s death who is connected to a Broadway theatre show. Sherlock returns home with a severed head inside a bag. He doesn’t remember picking it up which is caused by his post traumatic concussion syndrome. Watson tells Sherlock to let Captain Gregson know what had happened to him. Sherlock is ordered not to investigate until he is looked over by a police department doctor. Meanwhile, the severed head belongs to a male who is connected to the first woman’s death. Will Sherlock be able to return to work as a NYPD consultant?

48 HOURS: NCIS. The next episode is called, "A Sailor's Honor" that will air this Tuesday at 10/9 p.m.

'48 Hours: NCIS' A serial rapist runs loose near a military base

48 Hours: NCIS” (CBS) can be seen each Tuesday evening at 10/9 p.m. It airs at 9 p.m. (mountain-time) at Albuquerque on the KRQE 13 station. Last night’s episode was called, “Ruthless.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 4.12 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.5 million TV viewers in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “The Voice” (NBC) grabbed 8.77 overall with 1.5 with adults (9-11 p.m.). ‘For the People” (ABC) nabbed 2.37 overall and 0.5 with adults. 

“48 Hours: NCIS” is an extension of the regular “48 Hours.” It focuses on military stories involving murder and mystery.

“Ruthless” Jacksonville, North Carolina 2011. Within the span of 14 months. A serial rapist was terrorizing military wives who lived off the “Marine Corps, Base Camp, Lejeune.” It was believed that this rapist had attacked 12 women. The Jacksonville police couldn’t capture the unknown male attacker. So, a task-force was created inside the NCIS. The husbands of these wives were stationed in the middle-east when the attacks happened. Four women were beaten and three were sexually assaulted. NCIS built a timeline of the 14 months and began meticulously gathering evidence. One victim described what the attacker was wearing and he showed up on a security camera. Can NCIS capture him before he strikes again?

'Elementary' Watson's former therapist is stabbed to death 50 times

Last night’s episode was called, “Our time is up.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 4.17 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.5 million TV viewers in the all important 18-49 adult demographic. “Running wild with Bear Grylls” (NBC) grabbed 2.92 overall & 0.7 with adults. “American Idol” (ABC) nabbed 8.63 overall & 1.6 with adults (9-11 p.m.).

“Our time is up.” A female therapist has been stabbed to death more than 50 times. Joan Watson reveals that the woman was her therapist five years ago. A young male was obsessed with the therapist. He jumped off the balcony while Sherlock and Watson were in his office. The man's suicide attempt failed with two broken legs. Sherlock illegally copied the therapist files that were on computer. He told Watson that he didn’t look at her file because of privacy. Who killed the therapist?

'48 Hours' Jennifer's murder remains a deep & unsettling mystery

48 HOURS (CBS) can be seen each Saturday evening at 10/9 p.m. It aired at 9 p.m. (central time) on the Albuquerque TV station KRQE 13. Last night’s episode on May 19, 2018 was called, “Murder on Red River.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 3.93 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.5 million TV viewers in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “20/20” (ABC) grabbed 3.53 overall & 0.5 with adults. “SNL Vintage” (NBC) nabbed 2.60 overall & 0.8 with adults (8 to 10 p.m.).

“48 Hours” is a news program that covers crime and murder in the United States. Saturday night’s episode was reported and narrated by Jim Axelrod. 

Murder on Red River.” Bonham, Texas 2002. Jennifer Harris disappeared on May 12, 2002. Her jeep was later found abandoned. Her dead body was discovered floating in the red river by a fisherman. She was completely nude and her “uterus” was missing from inside her body. It was said that she was pregnant, but there is no way to prove it. She had a former boyfriend and an ex-husband who were persons-of-interest in her murder. Both of them were never charged. The ex-husband, Rob Holman, claimed that she never got pregnant with his baby. Several important evidence items had completely disappeared. There are no real suspects and no other evidence that leads anywhere. Will Jennifer’s murder ever be solved?

'Hawaii Five-0' A rogue Russian submarine surfaces off the island

Last night’s episode on May 18, 2018 was called, “Waiho wale kahiko.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 6.58 overall. It reached 0.7 in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “Dateline” (NBC) grabbed 4.63 overall & 0.8 with adults (9-11 p.m.). “Agents of Shield” (ABC) nabbed 1.86 overall & 0.5 with adults.
“Hawaii Five-0” stars, Alex O'Loughlin (Steve McGarrett), Scott Caan (Danny Williams), Taylor Wily (Kamekona), Chi McBride (Lou Grover), Tani Rey (Meaghan Rath), Beulah Koale (Junior Reigns) & Jorge Garcia (Jerry Ortega).

 “Waiho wale kahiko.” Previously, the confidential informant who was helping Adam with his task-force is shot dead. She tried to steal cash for Adam’s half-sister who is an underground gang leader. She ends up dead on the beach. Tani was watering Adam’s house plants and finds a gun that might’ve been used in his sister’s death. Did Adam kill her?

Meanwhile, Steve and Danno’s restaurant is nowhere near opening. They of course continue to argue about starting their own restaurant. Will it ever be built? 

An unknown Russian submarine surfaces just off the coast of Hawaii. Steve goes out to investigate and talk with the captain. He is led inside as the “Five-0” team watches from the beach. The United States government did not authorize the Russians to enter local waters. It turns out that this submarine is run by a Russian group gone rogue. The captain was murdered while most of the men on board had wanted to defect to the U.S. The killer is now on-the-loose in Hawaii.

Last night’s episode on May 18, 2018 was called, “The house on pitch pine crescent.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 4.63 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.8 million TV viewers in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic (9-11 p.m.). “Hawaii Five-0” (CBS) grabbed 6.58 overall & 0.7 with adults. “Agents of Shield” (ABC) nabbed 1.86 overall & 0.5 with adults.

The house on pitch pine crescent.” Toronto, Canada. Bill and Bridget Harrison were married young. They both loved kids and their family. The home on “pitch pine crescent” street was very happy. It was April 2009. Bill was found dead in the bathroom with the door locked from the inside. It was suspicious. His autopsy says his heart just stopped and he died. One year later in 2010. Bridget was found dead at the bottom of the home stairs. There was a bruise mark on her neck and that also was suspicious. The family asked police to investigate. Did someone target the couple for death?

The doctor gives him a higher dosage of his medication to help him sleep more. Meanwhile, Sherlock talks with Michael whom he doesn’t know is a killer. They have a great rapport too. Both are recovering drug addicts.

A man who takes part in a civil war re-enactment is “literally” gunned down on the battlefield. This man’s home is soon burned to the ground by arson. He had been receiving hate mail from people with whom he ripped off with a lot of money. Sherlock studies a burned safe which was in the man’s home. Can it lead to a killer?

'48 Hours' Wife of basketball star arrested after 7 years

Lorenzen Wright: No Defense.” Memphis, Tennesse 2010. Lorenzen Wright’s dead body was found in a field who was shot multiple times. He was a hometown basketball hero who made it to the NBA. He always gave back to the kids in his community. There were no leads in his murder case for 7 years. That's when police found the gun that killed him. It was thrown into a Mississippi river. Billy Ray Turner was arrested in connection with that gun. He was a former deacon in Sherra Wright’s church. She is the widow of Lorenzen. Police soon arrested her too, who was living in California. They both had a sexual relationship when Lorenzen was gunned down. Then, a third man was arrested in connection with killing Lorenzen. Sherra was awarded $1 million in life insurance after Lorenzen's death. She spent it all in less than 7 months...,

Last night’s episode on May 5, 2018 was called, “Dark side of the Mesa.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 3.12 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.4 million TV viewers in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “American Idol” (ABC) grabbed 2.20 overall & 0.4 with adults (8 to 10 p.m.). “NHL Playoffs” (ABC) nabbed 2.60 overall & 0.8 with adults (8 to 10 p.m.).

Dark side of the Mesa.” Grand Junction, Colorado 2001. Michael Blagg returned home from work and found the back door of his home unlocked. He also discovered blood on his bed. His wife Jennifer and their daughter Abby went missing. Jennifer’s dead body was found in a trash dump field, but Abby has never been found. Michael was charged with murder and stood trial in 2004. He was found guilty and only spent 10 years in prison. His case was over turned because a jury member had “lied” during the selection process. Michael got a new trial. Is he still guilty?

There is no concrete evidence he is being held. Steve and Junior go on a mission to see if Joe is being held or not. 

Meanwhile, Lou comes across two paintings that may have been stolen from 1940’s Nazi’s. It turns out that those paintings might be legitimate and could be sold underground. There is a woman who was killed whose husband owns the paintings. He emigrated from Germany to the U.S., many years ago.

'Elementary' Renewed for Season 7 by CBS

ELEMENTARY on CBS. The TV crime show has been renewed for Season 7. Fans rejoice...!

It has now reached its' 3 episode this Monday of the 6th TV season. It was shelved by the network for one full year. That had angered a lot of TV fans. It was however given a 21 episode order. Surprisingly, it is remaining steady in the TV rating after being gone for so long. That is the power of hardcore TV fans.

Silent Witness.” Greenbay, Wisconsin 2016. Nicole VanderHeyden’s dead body was found inside a barn field. She had left a local bar by herself the night before. Douglass Detrie was her boyfriend who was not with her when she disappeared. Two teen boys found a nude body lying on her stomach in the field. Her hair was filled with blood and the body had severe visible bruises. The field was located in the back of the sheriff’s department. Doug had filed a missing person’s report. There is security footage of Nicole leaving that bar and she was alone. Police concluded that it was Nicole’s dead body. She was killed by blunt force trauma and strangulation. Doug was questioned by police and he became a person-of-interest in Nicole’s death. Did he kill Nicole or was it someone else?

Elementary” (CBS) can be seen each Monday evening at 10/9 p.m. It can be seen at 9/8 p.m. (mountain time) on the local KRQE station at Albuquerque. Last night’s episode was called, “Once you ruled out God.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 4.56 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.6 million TV viewers in the all important 18-49 adult demographic. “Running wild with Bear Grylls” (NBC) grabbed 3.68 overall & 0.9 with adults. “The Crossing” (ABC) nabbed 3.85 overall & 0.5 with adults.

(The TV crime show is holding steady in the TV ratings with 2nd episode of new season. It is winning with the overall audience on Monday nights.).

“Elementary” stars, Jonny Lee Miller (Sherlock Holmes), Lucy Liu (Joan Watson), Aidan Quinn (Captain Thomas Gregson) and Jon Michael Hill (Detective Marcus Bell).

Once you ruled out God.” A male is struck down on the sidewalk by what appears to be lightning. It is ruled as death by nature. Sherlock looks at the dead body and concludes that the male was murdered by “man-made” lightning. While the investigation gets underway. Sherlock is feeling the strain of his post traumatic concussion. He needs to rest. 

Meanwhile, Watson attends the funeral of her biological father with whom she lost contact a few years back. He was homeless and diagnosed with schizophrenia. Her half-sister finds a letter written by the dad, but it is addressed to Watson. She doesn’t want to read it and throws it into the trash. Sherlock retrieves the letter and persuades Watson to see what the father had to say.

'48 Hours' A young mother's throat is sliced almost all around

48 HOURS (CBS) can be seen each Saturday evening at 10/9 p.m. It aired at 9 p.m. (central time) on the Albuquerque TV station KRQE 13. Last night’s episode on May 5, 2018 was called, “Don’t Scream.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 3.93 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.5 million TV viewers in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “NBA Playoffs” (ABC) grabbed 5.38 overall & 1.9 with adults (8:30 to 11 p.m.). “SNL Vintage” (ABC) nabbed 2.78 overall & 0.8 with adults.

“48 Hours” is a news program that covers crime and murder in the United States. Saturday night’s episode was reported and narrated by Erin Moriarty. 

Don’t Scream.” Utah 2013. Tiffany Mead had called 911 emergency just outside a local high school. She told the operator that she tried to commit suicide by slashing her throat. She was sitting in the front driver sear of her car. Tiffany’s baby was in the backseat. Her ex-husband Kris Ertmann was in the passenger seat. Her throat was cut almost ear to ear, but her larynx wasn’t damaged. Kris told police later that Tiffany was always suicidal. Tiffany then told police that it was really Kris who tried to kill her. Who is telling the truth?

Ka Hana a ka makua, o ka hana no ia a keiki.” A young woman named Cammy was helping her mom, Mae perform “acupuncture” on Tommy Boyle. She witnesses his murder after he answers the front door. Cammy and Mae escape, but Mae later ends up killed with a bullet to the head. Police call Tommy’s death a suicide. He was using acupuncture for pain relief because he was already dying from lung disease. Cammy is a good friend of Junior who is later found inside her apartment by Steve and Danno. There is an unknown male sitting in a black car outside Cammy’s apartment window. Tommy and Mae were both killed by the same gun. What is going on?

The Creek.” North Carolina 2014. Danielle Locklear delivered a notebook to one of her friends on a Tuesday night. She never came home while her grandfather was looking after her. She was only 15-years-old and had become a missing person. Her aunt didn’t know about this popular creek where high school teens visited. She went to look at this creek and found the word “help” drawn into the dirt. She also found a bath towel that belonged to her. Plus, a sock that was worn by Danielle. The police went back to the creek with the aunt to investigate. What had happened to Danielle?

'Elementary' 6th TV season premiere is a delight to hardcore TV fans

Elementary” (CBS) can be seen each Monday evening at 10/9 p.m. It can be seen at 9/8 p.m. (mountain time) on the KRQE 13 station at Albuquerque. Last night’s episode was called, “An infinite capacity for taking pains.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 4.74 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.6 million TV viewers in the all important 18-49 adult demographic. “Good Girls” (NBC) grabbed 4.04 overall & 0.9 with adults. “The Crossing” (ABC) nabbed 3.62 overall & 0.5 with adults.

(The 6th TV season finally began after a full year off the CBS schedule. Hardcore TV fans tuned into the premiere).

“Elementary” stars, Jonny Lee Miller (Sherlock Holmes), Lucy Liu (Joan Watson), Aidan Quinn (Captain Thomas Gregson) and Jon Michael Hill (Detective Marcus Bell).

An infinite capacity for taking pains.” Sherlock was in the hospital getting a brain scan after getting bludgeoned by Shinwell. He is experiencing post traumatic symptoms after that beating and has memory lapses. He may never recover from it and Watson does her best to help him recover. Shinwell was murdered after trying to take down a ruthless city gang. 

Meanwhile, a local male celebrity is bludgeoned to death in his own home. He enjoyed recording sex tapes of all his former girlfriends. One ex-girlfriend had released her sex tape without his permission. She had not taken it down from the internet, but claims she had never posted it. This woman is an embarrassment to her rich family. A huge money inheritance is threatened if she doesn’t clean up her act. It all changes when she too is murdered. Can Sherlock solve this one with his memory problems?
