'Dateline' episode 'While they were sleeping' nabs 2.92 TV Ratings Overall

The DATELINE (NBC) episode called, "While They Were Sleeping" had aired Friday night (11/29/2019) at 9/8 p.m. It was reported by Keith Morrison. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 2.92 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.5 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "20/20" (ABC) grabbed 3.77 overall & 0.6 with adults (9 to 11 p.m.) "Blue Bloods" (CBS) 4.37 overall & 0.4 with adults.

"While They Were Sleeping." Reno, Nevada. Melissa lay in bed next to her husband Ben Oxley  at 3 (a.m.) in the morning. He was shot dead and she woke up with ringing in her ears. She had smelled gun-shot powder and got out of bed to discover that the front door was open. She returned to the bedroom and finally realized that Ben was dead.

Ben was shot in the head at point-blank range. Melissa was lying next to him who wasn't harmed at all. There was no gun nor any finger-prints. The daughter Alissa claimed that a shadow was standing in the doorway looking at her. Police found blood and gun residue on Melissa.... What happened in that bedroom?

• North Korea. Soyun jumps into the back trunk of a car to follow the Colonel. She takes several pain pills for the gunshot wound and steals money and a purse to survive. She needs to know where to find her husband and boy. She runs into a Russian who wants to sell the "Stiletto Six."
• 1973. Petra catches up to J. Randolph Bentley who comes out of the psychedelic drug binge. He knows that she brainwashed him to torture an American. They go on the run together and he doesn't trust her anymore. Bentley is now known for working with Petra and the KGB.
• 2019. Petra is an elderly woman now who used to watch over the "Stiletto Six." She wants to know who is going to buy that "old" nuclear bomb on the black market. She is told that the North Koreans want to buy it.

The 48 HOURS (CBS) episode called, "Justice for Kelsey Berreth" aired Saturday night (11/23/2019) at 10/9 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 3.14 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.4 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "College Football" (ABC) grabbed 3.24 overall and 0.8 with adults (8-11 p.m.). "Saturday Night Live" nabbed 2.56 overall & 0.5 with adults (repeat).

"Justice for Kelsey Berreth." Teller County, Colorado. Kelsey was last seen on Thanksgiving day in 2018. She was captured on video camera entering a store. Patrick Frazee would go on trial for the murder of Kelsey who was his fiance'. They had a baby together.

Krystal Lee was a former rodeo queen from Idaho. She had known Patrick since their youth. When Kelsey had disappeared on that Thanksgiving day. Patrick had contact with Krystal who would become a witness against him at his trial. She claimed that he planned on killing Kelsey. Police had followed Krystal in a recorded video where she had helped Patrick clean up Kelsey's blood.

CBS 'Hawaii Five-0' episode 'Ka laä'au kumu 'ole o Kahilikolo'

HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) episode called, "Ka laä'au kumu 'ole o Kahilikolo" aired Friday night (11/22/2019) at 8/7 p.m. There is no TV ratings at this time. 

"Ka laä'au kumu 'ole o Kahilikolo." It's Thanksgiving 2019. Junior stays with Steve in his guest room. Eddie the dog sleeps on the couch. Danno tells Steve that his own home has mold who then moves into Steve's house. 

A male is bludgeoned on the head and is killed in the back yard of his home. He is popular in his community and had thrown many lavish parties. The Five-0 team discovers that a "rare" tree worth $1 million has been cut down and stolen. During the start of this investigation. Junior gets a call from his mother. Her home had been broken into and robbed.

• Soyun was shot by a Foreign Asset. She is helped by a family in China and then returns to North Korea. She is ordered by the Colonel to go on another dangerous mission. Or her family cannot be protected.
• 1973. J. Randolph Bentley takes a psychedelic drug and recalls how he was captured and tortured by the Russian KGB. He is brainwashed into thinking that he works for that KGB.
• Matt Edwards tries to control a rogue agent named Haynes who ends up killing three more people. The CIA orders a "hit" on both Edwards and Haynes who cannot be controlled.

Warner Brothers says, "Consummate con man Roy Courtnay has set his sights on his latest mark: the recently widowed Betty McLeish, worth millions. But this time, what should have been a simple swindle escalates into a cat-and-mouse game with the ultimate stakes."

'48 Hours' episode 'Maria Spencer's Vow to Kill' hits 3.57 TV Ratings Overall

The 48 HOURS (CBS) episode called, "Mary Spencer's vow to kill" aired Saturday night (11/16/2019) at 10/9 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 3.57 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.4 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "College Football" (ABC) grabbed 6.43 overall and 1.8 with adults. "Saturday Night Live" 2.33 overall & 0.4 with adults (repeat).

"Maria Spencer's vow to kill." Bloomsburg, PA 2012. Frank Spencer was shot dead twice inside the doorway of his home. His wife was Maria Spencer whose father was a former convict named Rocco Franklin. Maria had refused any idea of a "divorce" and phone calls reveal her death threats against Frank. Their divorce was long and drawn out and Maria had become openly violent.

Frank's close friends claimed that he liked "wild" women. There was no surprise when Frank and Maria eloped. She had gone farther than just a fun and wild female. The home of Frank's mom was burned down to the ground. The fire Marshall concluded that the fire was "undetermined." Another house was set on fire that belonged to Frank's current girlfriend Julie. It was called "arson" but no one was arrested. When Frank's divorce became final. He was shot dead.

HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) episode called, "Ne'e aku, ne'e mai ke one o Punahoa" aired Friday night (11/15/2019) at 8/7 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered  7.32 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.7 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "American Housewife" (ABC) grabbed 3.31 overall & 0.6 with adults. "The Blacklist" (NBC) 3.96 overall & 0.5 with adults. 

"Ne'e aku, ne'e mai ke one o Punahoa." Steve McGarrett sits inside of his bedroom and thinks about his mother who died. He grieves, but shows up at a crime scene. A medic-helicopter is forced down by a wounded patient. He doesn't want to be looked over by a doctor. The unknown patient walks into a small grocery store bleeding and buys health care products. He kills the store clerk.

Meanwhile, Lou's niece visits the island. He plans for her to meet a college basketball recruiter.

'Dateline' episode 'The Premonition' nabs 3.69 TV Ratings Overall

The DATELINE (NBC) episode called, "The Premonition" had aired Friday night (11/15/2019) at 9/8 p.m. It was reported by Andrea Canning. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 3.59 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.6 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "20/20" (ABC) grabbed 2.86 overall & 0.6 with adults. "Magnum PI" (CBS) 6.55 overall & 0.6 with adults.

"The Premonition." John Yelenic was a dentist who believed that someone was going to kill him. He also claimed that his murder would be covered up and never to be solved. In April of 2006. John was found killed inside of his home. His neck was slashed and there was blood everywhere. He struggled with his killer and John's head was pushed through an inside window pane. He tried to run away, but was inflicted with wounds. 

He was about to divorce his wife Michelle. In-fact, he was going to sign divorce papers the day he died.

TREADSTONE on USA. It can be seen each Tuesday night at 10/9 p.m. The 5th episode is called, "The Bentley Lament." In the overnight cable TV ratings. It garnered 0.519 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.12 million TV viewers in the 18 to 49 adult demographic.

"The Bentley Lament." Doug McKenna has to kill a woman whose picture was sent to him. It is his first kill after being "awakened" as an Asset for the CIA. He can recall maps with his photographic memory and finds a way into a secret compound so that he can gun down a female drug lord. 

Soyun leaves North Korea who heads to China to deliver that package for the Colonel. She doesn't know that another Foreign Asset is paid to kill her. That Asset is already in China. 

Back to 1973. John Randolph Bentley was tortured and brainwashed to work for the Russians. He kissed Petra who had tortured him and soon escapes from her psychological hold. John discovers that he tortured Americans and doesn't know who or what he really is.

Back to the Present. Petra is still alive who is an elderly woman. Tara is a journalist who looks for "Stiletto Six" which Petra used to protect and it is a secret missile.

The 48 HOURS (CBS) episode called, "The twisted case of Angie Dodge" aired Saturday night (11/9/2019) at 10/9 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 3.40 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.5 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "College Football" (ABC) grabbed 2.52 overall and 0.6 with adults. "Saturday Night Live" 2.35 overall & 0.4 with adults (repeat).

"The twisted case of Angie Dodge." Idaho Falls, Idaho. Carol Dodge talks about her murdered daughter named Angie. She was brutally killed back in June of 1996. Police detectives found male DNA evidence, but couldn't find a match to a killer. They finally searched the public database of "ancestry" and found a familial match. Michael was a "Murder" filmmaker who had become a person of interest in the murder of Angie.

Carol has spent more than 20 years searching for answers. It haunts her to no end who cannot let go of what happened to Angie.

HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) episode called, "Ka 'i'o" aired Friday night (11/8/2019) at 8/7 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered  7.05 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.7 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "High School Musical: The Musical" (ABC) grabbed 1.74 overall & 0.3 with adults. "The Blacklist" (NBC) 4.19 overall & 0.6 with adults. 

"Ka 'i'o." Mexico. A CIA officer was shot and killed. The bullet came from the gun that was used by Steve's mother Doris McGarrett. They want him to bring her in to ask Doris some questions. Steve doesn't believe that his own mother killed another CIA operative. 

Steve is ordered to go into Mexico alone to kill a Mexican woman who is part of a drug cartel. He doesn't know why Doris is in Mexico except that her gun was used. He stays inside a secret apartment, but is attacked by several unknown men. Can he find his mom?

'Treadstone' 4th episode 'The Kentucky Contract'

TREADSTONE on USA. It can be seen each Tuesday night at 10/9 p.m. The 4th episode is called, "The Kentucky Contract." In the overnight cable TV ratings. It garnered 0.422 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.12 million TV viewers in the 18 to 49 adult demographic.

"The Kentucky Contract." Three CIA Assets have now been awakened. Stephen Haynes walked into a convenience store and killed several people. He lands in prison and is interviewed by the CIA. He is hypnotized and realizes he was a trained Asset. He breaks free of prison to seek out his daughter. 

Two Assets try to bring Doug McKenna into the CIA. He fights them, but his wife confesses that she had helped train him to be an Asset. She also tells him that he has a kill mission which he cannot deny. Doug grapples with the normal life he had that will never return.

Soyun lives in North Korea with her husband and child. She is awakened by the Korean government. Colonel Li gives her an assignment to deliver a package. She has to leave behind her family and is taken on a secret journey. Soyun only remembers that she used to be a killer.

It garnered 3.39 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.5 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "20/20" (ABC) grabbed 3.01 overall & 0.6 with adults. "Magnum PI" (CBS) 6.65 overall & 0.6 with adults.

I will not TV recap this latest episode. I covered it several times. "48 Hours" (CBS) had Peter Van Sant report on this back in 2009. It was called, "Conspiracy to Kill" which ran 60 minutes. This "Dateline" episode runs 2-hours.

USA 'Treadstone' is Action Packed Thriller That Doesn't Disappoint

TREADSTONE on USA. The TV show airs each Tuesday evening at 10/9 p.m. If you missed the first three episodes. You can watch full segments over at its' official website on USA. It is based on the popular Robert Ludlum novels. Five movies were made by Universal Pictures. (I finally caught up with this and I'm not disappointed).

The TV show begins in the 1970's when the origins of "Treadstone" began inside the CIA. A male operative is kidnapped by the Russians who is tortured and drugged. He escapes and becomes a human machine.

Flash Forward to the Present Day. Two former CIA operatives are awakened and "Treadstone" is reborn. These operatives don't remember their past lives until they hear a lullaby that was used to psychologically brain-wash them. They find that their "bodies" can fight like machines. They have to figure out why they are that way. 

The flashbacks to the 1970's weaves into the present beautifully. The fight sequences are fantastic too. Check it out on the USA Network.

'48 Hours' episode 'The Disappearance of Kelly Dwyer' nabs 3.59 TV Ratings Overall

The 48 HOURS (CBS) episode called, "The Disappearance of Kelly Dwyer" aired Saturday night (11/2/2019) at 10/9 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 3.59 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.5 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "College Football" (ABC) grabbed 2.93 overall and 0.8 with adults. "Saturday Night Live" 2.43 overall & 0.4 with adults (repeat).

"The disappearance of Kelly Dwyer." Milwaukee, Wisconsin 2013. Kelly had gone out on a date with a man named, Kris Zocco. Both of them are seen on video camera outside his apartment building around 2 a.m. He claimed that they were not exclusive to each other, "Friends with benefits." They dated other people. She was last seen on camera in a hallway walking into Kris' apartment. He also claimed that she left his apartment the next morning at 9:00 a.m.

Kelly was very active on many dating websites. Her friends noticed bruises on Kelly's wrists. Police searched the phone of Kris and it caught him and Kelly in an aggressive sex act. What happened to Kelly?

'Hawaii Five-0' episode 'A 'ohe pau ka 'ike I ka halau ho'okahi' nabs 6.91 TV Ratings Overall

HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) episode called, "A 'ohe pau ka 'ike I ka halau ho'okahi" aired Friday night (11/1/2019) at 8/7 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered  6.91 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.7 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "American Housewife" (ABC) grabbed 3.78 overall & 0.6 with adults. "The Blacklist" (NBC) 3.90 overall & 0.6 with adults. 

"A 'ohe pau ka 'ike I ka halau ho'okahi." Two men who are popular YouTube "stars" walk into the Five-0 station. They were hired to make a recruitment video for "Five-0." Steve assigns them to follow Tani and Quinn. 

Meanwhile - police chase a runaway car that turns out to be operated by remote. Dealers created a way to sell drugs by not using human sellers. A buyer takes drugs from the car and leaves cash in a bag. There are cameras placed inside of that car which is controlled by remote, miles and miles away. Finger prints were found on the paper bag that held the cash.

'Dateline' episode 'Deliberate Evil' hits 3.53 TV Ratings Overall

The DATELINE (NBC) episode called, "Deliberate Evil" had aired Friday night (11/1/2019) at 9/8 p.m. It was reported by Josh Mankiewicz. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 3.53 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.6 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "20/20" (ABC) grabbed 3.16 overall & 0.5 with adults. "Magnum PI" (CBS) 6.40 overall & 0.6 with adults.

"Deliberate Evil." Houston, Texas. 2012. Gelareh Bagherzadeh drove back to her home and then pulled into the driveway. She screamed after dropping her phone. Neighbors called 911 Emergency claiming that they heard three gunshots. They also heard tires screeching from the area. Her car rammed into a garage door. She was shot in the head and killed on the spot.

Police on the crime scene questioned Gelareh's ex-boyfriend who became just a good pal to her. They also questioned her current boyfriend. Her father was caught up in a lawsuit dealing with a lot of money. The investigative leads went nowhere. It turns out that Gelareh organized protests against her home country of Iran and its' regime. Could that have gotten her killed?
