'48 Hours' episode 'Maria Spencer's Vow to Kill' hits 3.57 TV Ratings Overall

The 48 HOURS (CBS) episode called, "Mary Spencer's vow to kill" aired Saturday night (11/16/2019) at 10/9 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 3.57 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.4 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "College Football" (ABC) grabbed 6.43 overall and 1.8 with adults. "Saturday Night Live" 2.33 overall & 0.4 with adults (repeat).

"Maria Spencer's vow to kill." Bloomsburg, PA 2012. Frank Spencer was shot dead twice inside the doorway of his home. His wife was Maria Spencer whose father was a former convict named Rocco Franklin. Maria had refused any idea of a "divorce" and phone calls reveal her death threats against Frank. Their divorce was long and drawn out and Maria had become openly violent.

Frank's close friends claimed that he liked "wild" women. There was no surprise when Frank and Maria eloped. She had gone farther than just a fun and wild female. The home of Frank's mom was burned down to the ground. The fire Marshall concluded that the fire was "undetermined." Another house was set on fire that belonged to Frank's current girlfriend Julie. It was called "arson" but no one was arrested. When Frank's divorce became final. He was shot dead.
