Director-Actor-Screenwriter, Peter Fonda has died at age 79

Peter Fonda is the son of Henry Fonda and brother of Jane Fonda. He is the father of Bridget Fonda. An acting family. Peter died on Friday Aug. 16, 2019. He appeared in 70 films and his most famous role in the seminal "Easy Rider" 1969.

My favorite performance is his role as a Bee-Keeper in the 1997 movie "Ulee's Gold." The film opened to rave reviews and over the Summer and Fall. It had gained popularity by-word-of-mouth. Fonda earned his only Oscar Nomination as best actor. The film showed resemblances of his famous dad, Henry Fonda. Rest-in-Peace....

Episode 6: 'Basketball or Nothing' on 'Netlfix' 2019

BASKETBALL OR NOTHING on NET-FLIX. The 6-part series follows a Navajo Indian high school basketball team who have a chance at the state championships.

Episode 6: Modern-day Warriors.

The Chinle "Wildcats" basketball team made it to the "Final Four" during the state championships. It was a fantastic ride and the team floated on the support of their community. Coach Raul Mendoza told them to have fun, but to want that "title" more than anything. The team went as far as they could and lost in a tough defeat....

Life has to move on and it does in a positive way for the senior basketball players. Three of them received scholarships to colleges and one nabbed the "President Obama" scholarship that paid for his complete college education. All of them had dreamed of a better life outside of the Indian Reservation. Those scholarships gave them so much more than what they had hoped for. That in itself makes them modern-day warriors on the Reservation. They worked hard and dreamed big. Good for them....

He was deceased who was Bob Poynter. That woman is his younger wife Chacey.

She claimed that she heard a gunshot and a dark figure. And that's it, because she bolted from the jeep and frantically ran away. What happened on the dark county road?

Episode 5 'Basketball or Nothing' on 'Netflix' 2019

BASKETBALL OR NOTHING on NET-FLIX. The 6-part series follows a Navajo Indian high school basketball team and their chance to win the state championships.

Episode 5: Win or go home.

The state tournament begins and the Chinle "wildcats"  make it to the quarter-finals. They go up against a team who have taller men. They are scared during the first quarter and coach Raul Mendoza sees it. They had let their "offense" lax because the other team keeps the ball and makes points. They fall behind during the whole game.

Coach tells his team to get that ball and run with it. That's exactly what the team does and they all work together to keep that ball. By the end of the game. They pull ahead in points and win. Very exciting.

Professional golfer Notay Begay III visits the team with another pro-golfer who is also Navajo. They give their most positive encouragement to the team.

'The Hunt' cancelled by Universal after mass shootings

THE HUNT for UNIVERSAL. The action-thriller movie has been pulled from its' theatrical release of Sept. 27, 2019. This after the mass shootings in the states of Ohio and Texas that killed 31 people. The film became a political talking point from Trump.

"The Hunt" is about the global "elite" who pay big money to who hunt people for sport. The tables are turned when the hunter becomes the hunted.

Universal has not announced if or when the movie will ever be released.

Episode 4: 'Baskeball or Nothing' on 'Netlfix' 2019

BASKETBALL OR NOTHING on NET-FLIX. The 6-part series follows a Navajo Indian high school basketball team who fight to make it to state championships.

Episode 4: Chance of a Lifetime.

The regional tournament approaches and every Navajo team wants to be "Top Dog." That includes the Chinle "Wildcats." They worked hard to get back into the top rankings. Coach Raul Mendoza doesn't want them to rest. He wants them to be the best in the state and the team is real close. Raul also wants them to have fun too because that's what the sport is all about.

The regional title game was exciting and the coach has to lead the "wildcats" over the top. It's tough but the team finally believes in themselves to go all the way. We see their resiliency and the camera shows us where the Navajo tribe has come from. Like most tribes in the United States. Indigenous history isn't pretty, but the Navajo people had survived.

Episode 3 'Basketball or Nothing' on 'Netflix' 2019

BASKETBALL OR NOTHING on NET-FLIX. The 6-part series follows a Navajo Indian high school team who might get to the state championships.

Episode 3: Chance of a Lifetime.

The Wildcats lose two games in a row and by mere points. Coach Raul Mendoza gets tired of this "Rez-ball" tactic of individual playing. He cracks down on defense and how they should depend on each other in the game. Slowly, but surely, his game plan sinks in and the team climbs back into the top rankings. It becomes exciting for the team and their home-town fans. It isn't time to settle down though because their aim is to win the state championship.

We get to see the team-player's struggle on the basketball court and off. Their personal lives are literally a fight in the Arizona desert. The fact that they have to travel miles to get water is "astounding." The families of athletes also have to sacrifice a lot so their kids can have a better life. It's very positive.

'Basketball or Nothing' covered by local Arizona News 2019

Episode 2: 'Basketball or Nothing' on 'Netflix'

BASKETBALL OR NOTHING on NET-FLIX. The 6-part series follows a Navajo Indian high school team who head toward a possible state championship.

Episode 2: Getting Defensive

The team is now being pushed by Coach Raul Mendoza to stop this "Rez-ball" tactic. They lose their next game by one point because they can't play defense correctly. They aren't a team on the court in either direction. Raul shows them all "on camera" and what they're doing wrong. It begins to seep into the team's subconscious mind. "Rez-ball" individual play isn't going to cut it.

The coaches also see natural talent inside a top player. He doesn't see the potential in himself because he doesn't believe in "himself." It shows on the court and in the locker room. All the coaches can do is support them because the other side of the Indian Reservation is not good. Crime, alcohol and drugs. Meth has now become the new abusive drug that strangles teen natives.

'Basketball or Nothing' premiere's on Netflix 2019

BASKETBALL OR NOTHING on NET-FLIX. The 6-part series follows the Navajo "Wildcats" high school basketball team. They try to become that first team to get to the state championships.

Episode 1: Rezball

Raul Mendoza is the coach and he discovers how the team plays "Rezball" tactics. He is intrigued by the "push" to get a shot inside the hoop. It is a loose, aggressive and individual way of playing. But, the coach wants them to work as a team before the season begins. They are tested in their first game and they barely win, but it's a lesson on team work. We see how the coach wants his players to win, but also to learn how to get there.

Chinle, Arizona is very desolate and miles from the nearest big city. It's the Indian Reservation and the only thing local residents love is high school basketball. They have never been to the state championships and this could be the year they get their chance.

CBS NEWS: David Temple found 'guilty' for 2nd time in wife's murder

'48 Hours' David Temple is convicted for 2nd time of killing his wife

48 HOURS on CBS. The murder of Belinda Temple has been covered since 2007. Her husband David Temple was convicted in killing her and their unborn baby. He appealed and his case was thrown out after 9 years. Evidence was supposedly withheld from the first trial by the prosecution. David was charged again along with that "withheld" evidence. He was again found guilty of killing his wife and unborn child back in 1999.

David was having an affair with Heather back then. He married her soon after Belinda's funeral. Heather has now filed for divorce from him. Belinda was killed by a shotgun to the head. She and her baby died instantly. David's affair was the main motive.

'Elementary' Sherlock's dad is murdered

ELEMENTARY on CBS. Thursday nights at 10/9 p.m. This week's episode will be the 12th of 13 final segments of the TV series. It has been cancelled after this 7th TV season.

Last week on the episode "unfriended." Morland Holmes was murdered after helping Sherlock dismantle Odin's power as a corrupt billionaire. Internally, Morland had asked his friends to cripple Odin's stock in the market exchange, around the world. It had worked.

Odin confronted Sherlock and soon Morland's friends had turned on him. He was executed and his body was put inside a car. Detective Bell was called down to the crime scene.

Remember, Odin had asked Sherlock and Watson to join his team to stop vigilante's. Odin had secretly ordered contract killings of those who are about to commit murder or mass killings. Captain Gregson got involved with one vigilante who inadvertently shot him. Sherlock finally told Gregson that he and Watson knew Odin was behind that shooting.

(As a long time fan of this TV show. I was completely shocked by this. Sherlock had not really reconciled with his dad. They finally made a some-what truce on the last TV season. Now, there are only 2 more episodes left in the TV series. -- I WILL MISS THIS SHOW).
