Donald Trump acquitted in 2nd Impeachment trial

Former President - Donald Trump dodged another impeachment and this time by 10 votes. He is the only President to be impeached twice. He was acquitted for "Inciting Insurrection" on Jan. 6, 2021 that killed 5 people and injured multiple police officers.

  • 67 Senate members had to have voted to Impeach (2/3).
  • 57 Senators voted to - Convict.
  • 43 Senators voted to - Acquit.
  • 7 GOP Republicans crossed the aisle and voted with 50 Democrats.
The House of Representative Managers gave an incredible prosecution. They laid out Trump's plan to "Incite Insurrection" on Jan. 6, 2021.

Trump's lawyers gave a "laughable" defense who even denied that Trump lost a fair election.

There were no witnesses even after an overnight news "broke" with a phone call between Senator McCarthy and the Trump. The Senate decided not to bring any witnesses which finally ended a 5-day trial.

Day 4: The Impeachment Trial of Donald Trump ends in 'laughable' defense

The lawyers for Donald Trump had 16 hours to defend him and only used 3 hours. They ended their arguments today filled with lies and deflections from the truth. They also used an 11-minute video rebuttal where "celebrity" critics of Trump kept saying, "fight." There seems to be no reason why they showed that video.

The defense lawyers looked like they were put off guard by the "question and answer" session from senators. They simply didn't want to answer any questions.

There was no clear defense of Trump's "Incitement of Insurrection."

Thursday, February 11, 2021

Day 3: The 2nd Impeachment trial of Donald Trump has House Managers closing arguments

Donald Trump is the only U.S. President to be Impeached twice. The House of Representatives voted to impeach him who they believe "Incited an Insurrection" of Capitol Hill on Jan. 6, 2021. His supporters breached the building when congress was certifying the November 2020 election.

Five people died including a capitol hill police officer. Two other officers committed suicide after the breach.

On Day 3 of the Impeachment Trial. The House managers made their final arguments. The most compelling is the Pro-Trump supporters claiming that Trump invited them to attack capitol hill.

Also interesting is the fact that Republicans begged Trump to stop the attack. He didn't listen to them. He did nothing for hours and never sent in the national guard.

Over 300 individuals have been arrested by federal authorities after the attack. As recently as today on Thursday Feb. 11, 2021. Five members of the "Proud Boys" were arrested and will be charged with conspiracy. All of them were dressed alike on Jan. 6 who had planned their attack on the capitol building.

Day 2: The 2nd Impeachment arguments of Donald Trump begin

SECOND IMPEACHMENT of DONALD TRUMP. The House Impeachment Managers bring new evidence of the breach at Capitol Hill on Jan. 6, 2021. They opened with never-before-seen audio and video.

The house managers have 16 hours to make their case that Donald Trump "Incited Insurrection."

The most harrowing audio is when the capitol hill police reported the building was breached. The rioters broke through the "police ranks" and there was no help coming....

Below are the examples of new video evidence.

  • Vice President Pence was escorted out just seconds before rioters got to him.
  • Senator Mitt Romney was escorted to safety by police officers.
  • Senate leader Chuck Schumer was also escorted to safety by aides.
  • Rioters searched for Nancy Pelosi and Vice President Pence. They had wanted to capture and harm them.

Day One: U.S. Senate vote 56-44 on Donald Trump's impeachment as Constitutional

IMPEACHEMENT of DONALD TRUMP. The constitutional arguments began today with the second Impeachment of Trump who is accused of "Incitement of Insurrection" on Jan. 6, 2021. The Senate voted 56-44 with this impeachment as being constitutional.

Trump's lawyers did a horrible defense and Donald is dis-pleased with them....

Rep. Jamie Raskin is the head manager of the House Impeachment team. He opened with a powerful video on the breach of Capitol Hill by Pro-Trump supporters. It is a violent 13-minute segment where five people died and numerous police officers were injured. All of it was led and encouraged by President Donald Trump.

Below is the 13-minute CNN video of the breach on capitol hill.

Beautiful 'Haya Harareet' from Oscar winning 'Ben-Hur' dies at 89

BEN-HUR from MGM (1959). It won 11 Academy Awards including best picture. Charlton Heston played the title role of "Juda Ben-Hur" who won the best actor Oscar. It was a remake of the 1925 silent movie that starred Ramon Navarro as Juda.

Both films were huge box office for MGM. The 1959 version remained in movie theaters for a full year. The chariot race is the best action sequence ever filmed

It was said that actress Haya Harareet quit movies after the success of "Ben-Hur" (1959). She portrayed Esther who was Juda's love interest in the film. She made only one more American movie before going back to Europe.

She would always be remembered for this epic Biblical story. She passed away at age 89. RIP....

Oscar & Tony winner Christopher Plummer dies at 91

Christopher Plummer's most celebrated role is as Captain George Von Trapp in, "The Sound of Music" (1965). It won 5 Academy Awards including Best Picture. It was so popular that it had spent a full year in U.S. movie theaters. It was then cemented into American pop-culture when broadcast on network TV every holiday season.

Plummer won two Broadway "Tony" awards for "Cyrano" and "Barrymore." He also became the oldest actor (82) to win a best supporting Oscar for "Beginners" (2010).
