DATELINE on NBC. The Podcast "Missing in America" is narrated by Josh Mankiewicz and Andrea Canning. The 6-part series posted its' final episode this week on August 23, 2022 called, "Dee Ann Warner."

"Missing in America" climbed to number #1 on the "Apple" Charts on August 5, 2022. There are 50 podcasts ranked.

I posted all 6 episodes right here on this Blog... I was "glued" to my laptop listening to all segments. What is interesting is one individual may have met foul play, "Dee Ann Warner." She was last seen sleeping on the home couch by her estranged husband.

The other 5 missing individuals had taken a "Wrong" turn and completely "Vanished." I enjoy trying to solve the unsolved mystery. But... All of these mysteries may never be solved... Where are these individuals?

Podcast SAG-AFTRA: What You Need To Know About The New 'Netflix' Agreement

SAG-AFTRA - "This month, the SAG-AFTRA National Board voted overwhelmingly to approve a successor agreement with Netflix. The agreement includes significant changes benefiting background performers and stunt coordinators, and it significantly expands SAG-AFTRA’s coverage of Spanish-language dubbing."

"SAG-AFTGA’s Ray Rodriguez and Beth Millman walk us through the details. **The views expressed by the guests are their own and not that of SAG-AFTRA. Any mention of products or services does not imply SAG-AFTRA’s endorsement."

SAG-AFTRA A message from New Mexico President Marc Comstock 2022

(New Mexico Local SAG-AFTRA 2022).

"Almost a decade ago, soon after I joined the SAG-AFTRA New Mexico Local Board, I was participating in a film industry event and talking to a friend in IATSE who told me they didn't realize SAG-AFTRA had a local in New Mexico. Imagine my shock."

"When I brought this news back to my fellow board members, they too were surprised, and we all pledged then and there to make it our mission to make our presence known in the community and to spread the word: SAG-AFTRA is alive and well and living in New Mexico, and ready to take our rightful place among the industry leaders."

"We reached out to city and state film offices. We had coffee meetings. We hosted our own events and educational forums. We served as panelists and emcees for others. We sponsored festivals and conferences. We actively engaged with the New Mexico Federation of Labor and the New Mexico Film Office on issues such as “right-to-work” (for less) and film incentive legislation. We made our presence known everywhere and participated in everything. We built and solidified relationships."

"Fast forward to today. Our New Mexico Local Board leadership has a seat at the table. In fact, recently I was appointed by our Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham to serve a four-year term on the Governor’s Council on Film and Media Industries, where I will be working with other stakeholders in the community to ensure our incentives stay competitive and our industry only continues to grow."

"Our promise to you is that we will keep you informed and, whenever possible, engage you in the process and our efforts. As a member, you too can help strengthen those relationships. With this in mind, here’s a first step we all can take...."

Join your fellow SAG-AFTRA New Mexico Local members at the New Mexico Film & TV Expo Open House, hosted by IATSE Local 480.

When: Sunday, Aug. 28, noon - 5 p.m./MDT

Where: IATSE Local 480 Albuquerque Training Center, 8430 Washington Place NE (outdoors).

"The Expo is free and provides a great opportunity to meet and reconnect with colleagues and friends in the industry. In fact, SAG-AFTRA member and fellow New Mexican Jeremiah Bitsui (Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, Dark Winds, Yellowstone) will be there and the New Mexico Local will have a table — so be sure to stop by and say hello."

"There also will be food trucks and music, and I'm excited to report a demonstration movie set has even been constructed especially for the Expo that will allow spectators to watch as a short film is put together — from the casting process through filming."

"Let’s continue to work and build together. I’m looking forward to seeing you at the Expo or on the set!"

In solidarity,

Marc Comstock

"Six Days, Seven Nights" was heavily pushed with TV advertisements before it's premiere date.... The film's production budget climbed to $70 million. It grabbed $164 million at the box office. Olivia Newton-John 'Grease' and 'Physical' singer dies at 73

Olivia Newton-John was a 4-time music "Grammy" winner whose pop single, "Physical" (1981) stayed at number #1 for 10 weeks. It would become her signature song among several from the 1970's and 1980's. Below are Olivia's impressive music stats....

  • Studio albums                 26
  • Live albums                       6
  • Compilation albums         14
  • Singles                             70
  • Soundtrack albums            6
Olivia appeared in the movie-musical "Grease" (1978) as the innocent Sandy who transforms into a hot leather chick at the end. The movie was the number #1 film of that year ($366 million). She will forever be remembered as Sandy.... RIP.

Below is the music video for the hit song, "You're The One That I Want."

Below is Olivia singing her number #1 song, "Physical" (1981) on TV's "Solid Gold." This was long before the Internet and during the birth of Cable-TV. The song stayed in the public conscience for a full year. It spawned a music video that caused controversy with sexual-innuendo with straight and gay men who danced with Olivia. Several radio stations banned the song too because of "Sex." It was revolutionary for the coming decade of the 1980's in pop culture.
