SEASON 2: Dateline's 'Missing in America' 2nd episode 'Navaeh Kingbird'
"On October 22, 2021, 15-year-old Nevaeh Kingbird, a member of the Red Lake Nation, left her family’s house in Bemidji, Minnesota at around 1 a.m. At 2 a.m. she left another home in a nearby trailer park. She was last seen in the Nymore neighborhood of Bemidji."
"Andrea Canning talks to Nevaeh’s mother, Teddi Wind, her sister, Lakaylee, her uncle Daniel Wind, and Indigenous missing persons advocate Lissa Yellow Bird Chase. Nevaeh was 5’4” and weighed 120 lbs. at the time of her disappearance. She has brown eyes and dark brown hair with blonde highlights. She has two scars: one on her left eyebrow, another on her left thigh."

SEASON 2: Dateline's 'Missing in America' 1st episode 'Kent Jacobs'
"Kent Jacobs, a 41-year-old man with a developmental disability, went for a walk near his mother’s home in Hope Mills, North Carolina on March 10, 2002, and never returned. He was last seen walking about a mile from the Colonial Heights neighborhood on a road called Brooklyn Circle."
Dateline’s - Josh Mankiewicz talks to two of Kent’s siblings, Keith Jacobs and Kim Baber, and Nan Trogdon, a retired detective who worked Kent’s case for five years. Kent was 5'6" and 150 lbs. with dark curly hair and brown eyes when he vanished. He would be 62 years old today."

South Korea's popular Action Series 'The Round Up' reaches the U.S.
THE ROUND UP: NO WAY OUT (2023). It opens in U.S theaters on June 2, 2023. It is the 3rd action film in the "Crime City" series which comes out of South Korea. It follows detective Ma Seok-Do (Ma Dong-Seok AKA Don Lee) who uses muscular force while investigating crime.
THE ROUND UP (2022) is the 2nd action film in the series that became a world wide box office smash. $101 Million. Detective Ma Seok Do and his captain travel out of their jurisdiction to escort a criminal back to Korea. They stumble upon four dead bodies connected to a man from their homeland.
THE OUTLAWS (2017) is the 1st action film in the series that became a hit in South Korea. $52 Million. It was never released internationally. It follows Detective Ma Seok Do who fights a gang war and a drug lord.
NOTE: I watched THE ROUND UP (2022) last night and it was fantastic. The script had a lot of action from the lead actor (Ma Doug-Seok) who is muscular and big. His detective is smart who follows instinct on crime. It also has comedy from the whole cast. I loved it and I'm looking forward to the 3rd installment.

FAST X is the latest in movie franchise that began in 2001
FAST X from UNIVERSAL PICTURES. The latest opens today on Friday May 19, 2023. It has made a Billion $$$ for Universal Pictures. There will be another sequel Part 11 in 2025. The movie set-pieces went from fast cars to chase sequences that can never be seen in real-life. I believe the last sequel had several characters end up in space. It's getting ridiculous - but film audiences love it.
UPDATE 'Rust' on-set Armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed wants case dismissed
- Manslaughter charges were dropped against Alec Baldwin.
- New prosecutors say they can still charge Alec. A fresh investigation begins.
- Dave Halls pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon. He was the first assistant director on-set.
- Dave handed the gun to Alec that went off on-set. Dave says he never held that gun.
- The on-set "Armorer" Hannah Gutierrez Reed still faces an involuntary manslaughter charge. Her job was to handle all prop guns for the movie.
- Hannah has asked a court to dismiss the charge against her.
- New forensic testing will be performed on the gun that killed Halyna.

PODCAST: The 'Unsolved Mysteries' episode 'Jacob's Last Drive'
UNSOLVED MYSTERIES Season 3 PODCAST. I've listened to this story a few times and like all mysteries. There are no answers.
Jacob (31) disappeared in 2010 who told no one about his trip across several U.S. states. He is a Native American (Ottawa / Chippewa Tribes).
He finished his job as a mechanic and drove alone in his truck through Michigan state. His cell phone turned off in the state of Missouri. He was last seen sleeping in his truck at a rest area in the state of Arkansas. His bank-card attempted to get money in the state of Oklahoma.
In the state of Texas. Jacob's truck was seen on security camera at a gas station. An unknown male got out of the drivers seat and he wasn't Jacob. That truck finally disappeared in Mexico and Jacob was never seen again.
What-The-Hell-Happened? It's an unsolved mystery.

THE WRITERS GUILD STRIKE 2023. - TV shows and films are shutting down across the U.S. All in support of the Strike. The networks are planning to re-schedule the Fall 2023 TV season. In preparation of a possible long-haul strike.
The loss of money reaches Millions $$ a day. There are no plans for any "Talks" between Writers and Producers.

Richard Dreyfuss says Oscar Diversity Rules 'They Make Me Vomit'
The Academy Awards (Oscar) has been criticized for lack of diversity inclusion for decades. They have been changing the rules to satisfy all minority groups. The Best Picture nominees for 2025 have to include Ethnic representation in 2 of 4 standard categories.

He said, "They make me vomit... It’s an art. No one should be telling me as an artist that I have to give in to the latest, most current idea of what morality is. What are we risking? Are we really risking hurting people’s feelings? You can’t legislate that."
“You have to let life be life. I’m sorry, I don’t think there is a minority or majority in the country that has to be catered to like that.”

Podcast: ABC 20/20 mystery 'The Confession?"
20/20 on ABC. I'm not a fan of this crime show because there are too many narrators. It gets confusing sometimes. But, I began listening to this podcast called, "The Confession?" It will make you angry because the police and prosecutors nearly ruined a man's life.
I won't give anything away. A woman's murder is unsolved for 20 years. It's a mystery and there are several twists involving a husband who might be a suspect. Check it out.

The Writers Guild Strike has entered Day 7 with no deal in sight.... If you've been watching the news and commentary from Podcasts and Bloggers. Computer Artificial Intelligence is a problem on the horizon - impacting the Entertainment Industry.
Computer AI may take over Screenwriting ideas and the battle will be over who gets the Credit.... Will it be Computers or Actual People? Check out "Stage 32" for "Impact of AI on Screenwriting."
AI is also a concern for Actors because of Computer Animation and Digital Enhancement of actual humans (Avatar). But, that's another article....
