MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 8: THE FINAL RECKONING from PARAMOUNT pictures. It stars Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt with his final mission with the IMF.

Crazy Internet... Critics are now blaming Cruise and/or others on why the "Impossible" movies ended. Some are even suggesting a younger actor to portray Ethan Hunt. So that the "impossible" franchise would continue (Hahahaha...!).

MI8 is now Streaming on Digital platforms for fans to Buy and/or Rent. It is still in movie theaters screening on IMAX. Check it out.

The production budget stands at $400. The movie is less than $2 million away from peaking at $600 million.

Local 'New Mexico' Event 'The Gathering of Nations" Pow-wow to end after 2026

The 43rd GATHERING OF NATIONS poww-wow will end in 2026. The announcement was a surprise to fans who had attended the "Gathering" for 42 years. Has it been that long? Yes, according to Native  (Indigenous) customers who travel to Albuquerque every year. They come from as far as Canada and Europe.

The "Gathering" was once the largest Pow-wow in North America. It has been usurped by the big Indian Casinos that give away huge money prizes. Pow-wows are big business and it looks like the "Gathering" cannot keep up. It has been said that this pow-wow is "commercialized." That's how it always was and will be until it ends in 2026.

The "Gathering" is an economic boom for the city of Albuquerque bringing in nearly $30 million each year. The cost of putting on "The Gathering" is $150,000. The total cash prizes in all of the contests is $200,000. Several Indian Casino pow-wows are larger with $250,000 in prizes. 

The cost just keeps rising for the "Gathering." Back in 1995. A single ticket to enter the pow-wow was only $10 dollars. Now, it has risen to $25 bucks. Part of it is inflation, but the organization has been criticized for hiking prices overall year after year.

In 2016 - The University of New Mexico announced they will no longer host the "Gathering." The reason was the clean-up costs. The pow-wow was held inside "The Pit" (UNM) for decades. It was moved to a smaller venue at "The Tingley" coliseum inside the New Mexico Fairgrounds.

It is the end of an era for one of the largest Pow-wows in North America.... None too soon because the city of Albuquerque is trying to sell the "block" where the NM state fair resides. It isn't bringing in enough money where condominiums might.

French Thriller 'Point Blank' 2010 Spawned 4 Bad Remakes

POINT BLANK from GAUMONT pictures (France 2010). The production budget climbed to $10.3 million. In France alone the box office hit $9.2 million. It was later distributed to the U.S. 

I lived at Los Angeles in 2010. I saw this movie in an Independent theater on Sunset Boulevard. I absolutely loved it.

A French male nurse-in-training and his wife anticipate their first baby. She is 7 months along and is ordered to stay in bed for the remainder of the pregnancy. Meanwhile, a black man is shot in the stomach and is chased by two killers. He is also hit by a motorcycle and sent to the hospital. The male nurse watches over this man on the graveyard shift. An unknown killer tries to finish killing the man. The nurse saves his life and soon his pregnant wife is kidnapped. The nurse is forced to take the injured man out of the hospital. The chase begins and it is a thrill ride to the end.

There have been 4 remakes of the original "Point Blank." 

*South Korea produced "The Target" (2014) and it separated the two male leads and focused on the injured criminal. Bad idea because the nurse and the criminal were forced to help each other. 

*Netflix produced "Point Blank" (2019) with two handsome male "studs." Bad idea because the nurse and criminal were normal Frenchmen on the street. 

*Bangladeshi produced "Password" (2019) and it was loosely based on the original French Thriller.

*Indian Tamil-language produced "Kadaram Kondan" (2019) and this is an exact remake. The exception is that the male nurse is a doctor. Bad idea because the nurse has no power until his wife is kidnapped. He then turns into a man who will do anything for his wife and unborn kid.

Unfortunately - "Mr. Pants" didn't have enough votes to reach the Finals. Simon pressed his buzzer who wasn't impressed with the live performance. I think Simon didn't believe he was a $1 million dollar act.

I thought "Mr. Pants" was funny, but can he get beyond the "pants" jokes. Or is there enough of those jokes for a headline show?

Box Office Report 'Mission Impossible 8: The Final Reckoning' climbs to $595 Million

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 8: THE FINAL RECKONING from PARAMOUNT pictures (2025). It stars Tom Cruise who portrays Ethan Hunt on his final mission with the IMF.

The production budget climbed to $400 million. It is creeping toward $600 million worldwide.

Reporters had asked Tom Cruise if there will be a next "mission." He answered "no." 

MI8 left room for a possible next sequel with a new IMF team. Cruise would be leading them all too. I would love it just to see which new "stunt" Cruise would perform next. (wishful thinking).

Week 10 'America's Got Talent' Performances 2025

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT on NBC (2025). The winner will receive a headline show at Las Vegas. Plus, $1 million dollars.

This is the 10th episode. AGT is calling it the 9th week of Auditions. 

B Unique Crew - They are a dance group using body contortion. After they finished. The audience screamed for the judges to press the "Golden Buzzer." The judges used up all of their "Buzzers" for the season. 

It was very good and exciting to watch. Simon claimed that this could be a great "Live" show performance. I totally agree. All the judges voted for them to head to the next round. Way cool.

The Osso Brothers - Two brothers performed a hand-standing balancing act. All of the judges were impressed by their hard work. The strength of the older brother is phenomenal.
