Albuquerque. UNM seeks fake patients of all ages. $$.

Apply to be a Standardized Patient at UNM School of Medicine

We are currently seeking people who can portray patients in the following age groups: 20-30, 30-40, and 40-50.

Standardized Patients:

Play an essential role in training future healthcare practitioners

Portray patients in a standardized manner for educational assessment and learning purposes.

Are people from all walks of life, age-groups, and educational backgrounds.

Give students the opportunity to practice clinical skills in a supervised setting including: taking a patient history, conducting a physical examination and communicating effectively. 

Must have a good memory, be a quick learner, be able to portray a patient case as trained and have a willingness to participate in a variety of physical examinations.

Standardized Patients are temporary on-call employees starting at $11 per hour who work as needed to portray patient encounters.
