CASTING CALL: AMONG THE PINES
Limited budget project seeking a woman and a man, preferably in their
mid to late 60s, for a heartbreaking, yet beautiful short film about
life, death, hopelessness and loss in light of a Christmas road trip.
We will be shooting in Santa Fe and the surrounding areas. Casting will take place for ages 55-70, male and female.

As of now this is a low/non budget production. Positions will be paid
if/when funding takes place. Meals and beverages will be provided, as
well as negotiable gas reimbursement/valet service for cast living
outside of Santa Fe.
It is a non-union production with online distribution in place. It will be seen worldwide and sent to selected film festivals.
There will potentially be blood, dirt and prosthetics. Actors and
actresses will be auditioning with a prepared one minute monologue.

ROLES:
JANE, late 60s, early 70s - Loving wife and mother, trying to
persuade her husband to turn around to join their family’s Christmas
celebration. Ends up getting killed in a cruel twist of fate as their
car collides with a moose. Some blood and prosthetics are required.
CHARLIE, late 60s, early 70s - Devoted husband and father, fed up
with the expectations of Christmas, stubborn, has a hard time letting go
of his opinions. Finally succumbs to his wife’s request of turning back
around, which leads to the accident.
