Robert Loggia was part of an excellent film - murder mystery - thriller called JAGGED EDGE playing a hard boiled detective. It starred Glenn Close, Peter Coyote & Jeff Bridges. Loggia received a best supporting actor Oscar nomination.
I'll always remember him for a TV guest appearance on the western THE BIG VALLEY in an episode called "The Profit and the Lost" from 1968. Loggia plays a hired gun to kill Heath Barkley, but is saved by Heath after getting shot by other vengeful men. Heath doesn't know he is in town to kill him. A great performance in a great TV western. I watch that show all the time. RIP Robert Loggia.
