'Princess Mononoke' comes to Albuquerque for 20th anniversary

PRINCESS MONONOKE. The animated film is set in Japan during what is called the "Muromachi" era. A beast is covered in a black disease who storms the village that is protected by Ashitaka. He tries to stop it, but his arm gets wrapped in the same black disease he cannot control. He sets out on a journey where that beast came from. Ashitaka steps into a war between the land of God's and the humans who want their rich natural land. It is an era where tradition falls into a new modern era. The struggle to hold onto that tradition is fought hard by the Princess Mononoke who finds a friend in Ashitaka.

The 20th anniversary screening will be Jan. 5, 2017 on movie screens across the United States. For One Night Only. It will come to the "Cottonwood Mall 16" and the "Century 14" at Albuquerque, NM. You can buy advance tickets here
