'20/20' College freshman guns down Fraternity brothers in parking lot

“20/20” (ABC) can be seen each Friday evening at 10/9 p.m. It was seen in Albuquerque at 9/8 p.m. (central time). Friday’s episode was called, “A chance encounter” which aired on Sept. 8, 2017. In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 3.20 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.7 million TV viewers in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “Dateline” (NBC) grabbed 4.30 overall & 0.9 with adults. “Blue Bloods” (CBS) nabbed 4.53 overall & 0.5 with adults (repeat). 

20’20” is a news program that covers crime & murder in the United States. This episode was reported & narrated by Matt Gutman. 

“A chance encounter.” Northern Arizona University at Flagstaff, Arizona. There was a party at the apartment complex of Colin who was a fraternity brother. He and several of his frat boys got into an argument with a freshman named Steven. It spilled into the parking lot across from the complex. Colin was said to have hit Steven in the face with his fist. Steven runs to his car and grabs a gun connected with a flashlight that blinds the frat boys. Body cameras capture it all right after Steven guns down four young men. Was it self-defense or murder?
