'Holmes & Watson' tested badly by preview audiences & Sony tried to sell it to 'Netflix'

HOLMES & WATSON from SONY. It's always a bad sign when movies are not previewed by critics before it rolls out into movie theaters. Case-in-point with Sony's "Holmes & Watson" with John C. Reilly and Will Farrell. Critics thrashed it and film-goers have reportedly walked out of theaters. (They said so on "Twitter").

According to "Box Office Mojo" that tracks box office receipts. As of Sunday Dec. 30, 2018. "Holmes & Watson" has grabbed $19,826,408 million in North America. It has garnered $4,000,000 million at the Foreign box office. The world-wide total brings it up to $23,826,408 million. The production budget climbed to $42 million.

Sony had reportedly tried to sell it to the streaming giant "Netflix" who turned it down. All of this after "test" screenings received terrible scores. Sony just put it into theaters and it is being touted as the worst of 2018 & 2019. (I had no plans to see it and apparently, the trailer is funnier than the completed film).
