'48 Hours' episode 'The Life and Death of Amie Harwick' grabs 3.07 TV Ratings Overall

The 48 HOURS (CBS) episode called, "The life and death of Amie Harwick" aired last Saturday night (2/22/2020) at 10/9 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 3.07 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.3 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "NBA Basketball" (ABC) grabbed 1.61 overall and 0.5 with adults (8:30-11 p.m.). "Dateline" (NBC) nabbed 2.27  overall & 0.4 with adults (repeat).

"The life and death of Amie Harwick." Hollywood, CA 2020. Gareth Pursehouse was the former boyfriend of Amy Harwick. She filed her last court "restraining" order against him in 2012. Gareth stalked her and finally lay-in-wait for Amie at her home. He strangled and threw her body over the balcony to her eventual death. She died from the injuries of that fall. 

The night she had died. Her close friend Robert Coshland had emailed her at 11 p.m. She responded to him at 1:00 p.m. It was the last time he had contact with her. Amie was a family therapist who was known for helping a lot of people. They called her a "healer."

Gareth was ordered to stay away from Amie in 2012. The restraining order expired in 2015 and he showed up at a social event as a photographer. Amie was at this same event and he berated her in front of everyone. She feared for her life.
