Classic Movie Flashback 'Sudden Impact' 1983 with Clint Eastwood

SUDDEN IMPACT distributed by WARNER BROS. (1983). It starred Clint Eastwood who portrays inspector Harry Callahan. The production budget climbed to $22 million and grossed $150 million at the world-wide box office. (Movie Ticket Price for 1983 was $3.15).

The story surrounds Jennifer (Sondra Locke). She is an attractive blonde who has revenge on her mind. 10 years before. She and her younger sister were raped by a gang of men. Jennifer tracks down each of these gang members and begins killing them one by one. Harry is assigned to investigate the first killing and discovers that he is tracking a serial murderer.

This is the 3rd movie Eastwood has played "Dirty Harry" as he is known on the police force. He ended his portrayal of Harry in the last film ,"The Dead Pool" 1988. It was also huge at the theater box office.

Harry is known for his wise-cracks and one liners. He topped everything in "Sudden Impact" with the phrase, "Go Ahead. Make My Day." 

At the time - It was the most imitated line with fans, talks shows, news outlets and used in other films. There was even a song written with that line. It became a hit on Country radio with Eastwood saying the catch-phrase.
