Review 'Project Silence' is heart pounding thriller!

PROJECT SILENCE distributed by CJ ENM (2024). This was never released in the United States and what a shame. I would've walked into a movie theater to watch it. The production budget climbed to $18.5 million and only grossed $6.3 million world-wide. $4.8 million of that total gross came from South Korea.

I rented it on "YouTube" and was not disappointed.

The story is simple. The South Korean military created a program called, "Project Silence." It involves the control of pit bull dogs with voice activation. Computer chips are inserted in the front of their heads. The program was supposed to protect and serve. It becomes a political lightning rod within the military. The dogs were then trained to kill.

One foggy night on a popular traffic bridge. A number of specific pit bulls are secretly transported across that bridge. The bad weather causes cars to pile up and pedestrians are killed. The truck holding these dogs also crashes. The animals are then set loose. One pit bull slams its head into a solid surface which knocks out that chip. She becomes the leader and plans revenge against the military (smart).

I was totally impressed with the CGI effects. The pit bulls look so real when they are not. They were scary and violent. The bridge collapse had good effects too.

"Project Silence" is a top thriller from South Korea. Check it out if you can.

You can buy or rent the movie on "YouTube."
