All of my votes went to free-style rapper Chris Turner whom I thought was excellent.

America has voted and the winner is Jessica Sanchez who is a singer. She appeared on the very first season of AGT as a child singer. She was eliminated in the Sem-Final round. Two decades later. Jessica is a grown woman who is also pregnant. In my opinion - she received the sympathy "vote" because she's about to have a child. Also, she has that "nostalgic" feel who is a very good singer.

UPDATE '48 Hours' episode 'The College Drug Ring Murder' 2001
48 HOURS MYSTERY on CBS (2001). Back Then.... The network aired murder and specifically "Mystery" with each episode. The title is now just "48 Hours."
"The Millionaire Boys Club" has been changed to "The College Drug Ring Murder." Three middle class teen boys ran a million dollar drug ring.
2001 - Danny Petrole was a "Chronic" Marijuana dealer who sold nearly $2 million. He was shot 9 times and killed while sitting inside of his car.
2002 - Owen Barber was arrested as the shooter and he claimed Justin Wolfe hired him to kill Danny. Justin spent 5 years buying & selling the "Chronic." All through high school and college. He claimed that he once held $100,000 for just being a distributor. His mom never knew.
Jason Coleman was a friend to Danny, Justin & Owen. Jason sold Owen the gun that killed Danny.
Justin owed Danny $60,000. Owen also owed Danny $3,000. Others owed Danny more. Owen claimed that Justin hired him to kill Danny for $20,000. Owen never got that money because Justin says he is lying.
2002 - Justin was convicted and sentenced to death for capitol murder. Owen received 38 years for pulling the trigger. Jason completely disappeared.
2011 - Justin was sitting on death row when his case was dismissed.
2012 - Another court upheld his conviction.
Owen Barber said he lied in court implicating Justin. Owen was then threatened in prison by prosecutors and later "pled" the 5th.
2016 - Justin finally pled "Guilty" to the charges from 2001 and a judge sentenced him to 41 years.
2025 - After another appeal by Justin. His case was overturned and he will get a new court trial.
(I used this as a basis for one of my movie screenplays. A thriller set on the Indian Reservation).

Movie Star & Film Director Robert Redford Dies at 89
ROBERT REDFORD. He is one of the last real movie "stars." He created the "Sundance" Film Festival to help new filmmakers outside of Hollywood. Including Native/Indigenous artists.
I think his best work as an actor was in "All the Presidents Men" (1976). It was about two journalists who investigate the corruption of President Richard Nixon.
One of my favorite films of his is, "The Natural" (1984). It was about an aging baseball player who gets a second chance in the big leagues.
Below is my absolute favorite Redford film, "Three Days of the Condor" (1977).

Excellent 8-Part TV Series 'The Count Of Monte Cristo' 2024
THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO from RAI (2025). The TV series had already premiered in Europe 2024/2025. It will land in America on PBS Masterpiece (2026). I watched all eight episodes in one sitting. This is a review.
I'm a huge fan of the book by Alexandre Dumas published back in 1846. "Monte Cristo" has been made into numerous movies plus several TV mini-series.
The story is simple. Sailor Edmond Dantes is falsely accused of treason by three ruthless men. He is imprisoned for 15 years and is presumed dead. He escapes and discovers the gold of "Monte Cristo." That helps him plan his intricate revenge.
In this 8-part TV series. There are numerous flashbacks that smoothly move the story forward. We see everything through Edmond's eyes. It stays really close to the book.
There are also new touches we haven't seen in the other filmed versions. Edmond is so consumed with revenge. His anger has to be balanced out. So, he tastes from a small bottle to calm himself. He is a chemist and probably made the drug. This revenge consumes his entire body.
After 15 years in prison. Edmond does not age here. He instead grows a beard and mustache. His enemies never notice. In the other versions. Edmond has grey hair and/or a scar across his face.
Also - There is a sword fight and a pistol duel involving Edmond. That is not here. What is most important are "words" from a simple letter. It destroys his enemies much harder. The revenge is then a lot sweeter.
There is a question. Did Edmond's revenge kill his love for Mercedes? It looks like it did because when she begs him to spare her son's life. She kisses him. The feeling isn't there after so many years. The ending gives us a little hope of them reuniting. But, can they ever rekindle their love?
I want to see it again. I give "Monte Cristo" 5 out 5 Stars*

My Favorite 'America's Got Talent' performance from 2014

Season 9 (2014).
I've been watching past auditions. I really enjoyed Mike Super who is a "mystifier." He uses magic with human energy. He even has an imaginary friend named "Desmond" whom he brought to his audition. All of the judges voted him to the next round.
Mike was eliminated during the Judge's Choice (Quarterfinals). He was brought back as a Wild Card by judge Howie Mandel. He made it to the Semi-Finals but did not have enough votes to reach the top 6. He was eliminated during the Finals.
I don't know what happened to Mike with being consistent. I guess he was confusing to the judges. I do think he had a shot at Las Vegas. His idea was unique.
