Trailer 'Golden' coming soon.!
GOLDEN from an Independent Film Company (2026). It stars Brian Austin Green who starred in the 1990's TV show, "Beverly Hills 90210."
This is not a trend. Older TV stars plus film stars are getting work with independent producers. Some movies are released into theaters. Others are released into both theaters and streaming online. Many are going straight-to-digital where you can Buy or Rent.
"Golden" looks like it will go into select theaters and quickly stream online. Usually at "YouTube" which has a large audience.
TV fans will probably follow "Golden" because of Brian Austin Green. Remember Luke Perry went into Western movies? He's also an alumnus of "Beverly Hills 90210." His fans followed him. So, there is an audience out there.

Documentary 'Melania' drops 67% in ticket sales & falls to number #10
MELANIA from AMAZON (MGM) 2026. Melania Trump is the First Lady of the President of the United States. Donald Trump is the 47th President of the United States.
The documentary follows "Melania" 20 days before the start of Trump's 2nd Inauguration as U.S. President. It opened in 7,000 movie theaters around the world for its first week. The documentary was pulled from theaters because of "0" ticket sales. It has dropped considerably in its second week to 2,003 movie theaters.
The production budget climbed to $75 million ($40 million rights bought by Amazon. $35 million marketing campaign). The First Lady was given $28 million by Amazon.
As of Feb. 8, 2026. "Melania" grabbed $2,378,874 (million). After 10 days of release. It has garnered a total of $13,353,819 (million). It's been reported that ticket sales were bought by "white" women over the age of 45 years. And in the Southern U.S. states like Texas.
The documentary will never recoup its costly budget and payout to Melania. It is considered a major flop.

Documentary 'Melania' receives 'Rotten Tomatoes' 7% Rating
MELANIA from AMAZON (MGM) studios (2026). A documentary. Melania Trump is the "First Lady" of the United States. She's married to Donald Trump who is the 47th President of the United States.
Amazon bought the rights to "Melania" for a whopping $40 million. The online streaming giant also spent a reported $35 million on advertising around the world. A total of $75 million. The First Lady received a reported $28 million-dollar-paycheck.
According to "Box Office Mojo" which tracks movie theater receipts. "Melania" grabbed $7.1 million over the Jan. 30, 2026 weekend.
Film critics gave "Melania" scathing reviews. It received a 7% score with critics and public reviews on the "Rotten Tomatoes" website. The Internet Movie Database (IMDB) gave "Melania" a 1.3 rating overall. That includes public reviewers.
7,000 movie theaters around the world had booked "Melania." It is being reported that the main audience came from the rural U.S. state of Texas. 75% percent were "white" females who bought tickets.
In retrospect. This documentary was a win for Melania Trump who got $28 million in pocket change. For Amazon/MGM - It will lose approximately $67 million.
The bad word-of-mouth is out on "Melania" with critics and the public. The documentary is projected to drop in its' 2nd weekend (Feb. 6, 2026).
2026 Winter Olympics will Pre-Empt 'Dateline' for 2 weeks
DATELINE on NBC. The Winters Olympics will be broadcast from Feb. 6-22, 2026. "Dateline" will return Friday Feb. 27, 2026.

Film Slasher 'Primate' Nabs $32 Million at World-Wide Box Office
PRIMATE from PARAMOUNT pictures (2026). The slasher movie was dumped into theaters last Jan. 9th. When a movie studio believes a film will make no money. They drop them in the month of January. Paramount did just this with a chimpanzee-gone-mad after contracting rabies.
During movie previews back in 2025. "Primate" landed a score of 92 percent from the website, "rotten tomatoes." The studio took notice and decided to use audience theater reactions as a promotional tool. It drove film-goers to see it. Then, critics raved about it too.
I even walked into a movie theater at Albuquerque. I loved it..!! My reason for loving it was because the filmmakers didn't use CGI effects. A "little-person" actor was fitted into a monkey suit. Plus, the great make-up. When this chimp goes bananas. The reality was pretty damn scary. (I think the director decided to use regular special effects).
The production budget climbed to $21 million. Paramount has earned $11 million.
As of Feb. 1, 2026. Below are the estimated Box Office Numbers.
- North America - $25,036,000 Million
- Foreign - $7,000,000 Million
- World Wide - $32,036,000 Million
When all is said and done. I predict "Primate" will earn Paramount $15 million.

PBS Masterpiece Trailer 'The Count of Monte Cristo' premiere's March 22, 2026
THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO on PBS MASTERPIECE (2026). The 8-part mini-series will make its' North American premiere March 22, 2026. I had watched the European premiere in 2025. I couldn't wait because I love the story of "Monte Cristo." I wrote a review right here at this Blog.
I've seen all of the movies plus TV series based on the Alexander Dumas novel. It goes way back to Silent Films (1910). I rate this recent TV mini-series at the top. The 2024 movie version was good too.
Fans can sign-up with a "PBS Passport" to stream "Monte Cristo" beginning March 1, 2026. I am signing up.
Check it out. You will not be disappointed.
Slasher Film 'Primate' Nabs $30 Million at World-Wide Box Office 2026
PRIMATE from PARAMOUNT pictures (2026). The movie production budget climbed to $21 million. As of Jan. 25, 2026. The North American box office has reached $23 million. The world-wide box office has nabbed $30 million. A profit of $9 million.
It is no secret that movie studios drop films in the month of January - for one reason. They have no faith in it to make any money. "Primate" proved the studio wrong after preview audiences gave it a cinema-score of 93% (Rotten Tomatoes). The studio even recorded audience reactions in the theater. They used it as a promotional tool to get film-goers into theater seats.
Then - movie critics gave the film great reviews. They call it an old fashioned horror flick that scares you. It certainly scared me after seeing it in a theater at Albuquerque. I believe the reason is that there were no CGI effects. The chimpanzee (Ben) was a little-person actor dressed in a monkey suit. Money was also spent on the chimp make-up and it paid off. Ben looked so real and so scary as he went on his killing spree.
I predict that "Primate" will profit $15 million for Paramount. This has become a word-of-mouth picture. A lot of other horror/slasher movies drop considerably at the box office.
Check out "Primate" in a movie theater. You will not be disappointed.

ABC News '20/20' Five Part Series 'The Secret in the Suitcase'
20/20 on ABC. The special segment was called, "The Secret in the Suitcase." It aired a few years ago and I missed it. Melanie McGuire was convicted of killing her husband and dumping his body in the Chesapeake Bay. She cut up his remains and placed them in three separate suitcases.
"Secret" caught up with Melanie twelve years later while still serving a life sentence. She is eligible for parole in 2073. And.... She maintains her innocence.
There have been multiple news stories and TV specials on Melanie McGuire. Even a TV movie was produced on the killing of her husband. I thought the most revealing was the "48 Hours" segment called, "The McGuire Diaries." It focused mainly on the court trial and let Melanie record herself on camera. It showed her true self and how she felt leading up to that trial.
"Secret" shows us this criminologist who believes Melanie is innocent. The evidence is too strong against her though. This segment goes into great detail from the moment the dead body was found in that first suitcase.
In my opinion... Stop interviewing this woman. She's a sociopath like Scott Peterson or even Charles Manson. You can see the darkness in her eyes.

Note: I remember this... Melanie was too much and so vain. She looked into that camera as if she was a special TV Mini-series. She loved the drama which she created. She's still in prison.
