STRANGERS ON A TRAIN from WARNER BROS. (1951). It was directed by Alfred Hitchock. The film landed at number #32 of the American Film Institute list entitled, "100 Years - 100 Thrills."
Patricia Hitchock portrayed Barbara Morton in the movie. It would turn out to be her most popular role. She of course is the only daughter of Alfred.
The film is about two men who discuss swapping murders. The first man thinks it to be a joke. The second man is serious and commits the murder of the first man's wife. He expects the first man to do the same in return.
The production budget climbed to $1.6 million. It grossed $7 million at the world-wide box office. Film students and critics have analyzed "Strangers" since the premiere in 1951.
Pat had appeared in theatre and also in Hitchcock's 1950's TV series. She spent many years talking about her dad's movies. Rest in Peace....
