SAG-AFTRA message from 'Duncan Crabtree-Ireland' National Executive Director
SAG-AFTRA Message on Foreign Industry Incentives....
SAG-AFTRA.Dear Roscoe,
"Many SAG-AFTRA members have voiced deep concern about film and television production being increasingly drawn overseas due to foreign incentives. This shift has led to a decline in domestic job opportunities, leaving too many entertainment professionals struggling to support themselves and their families."
"In response, SAG-AFTRA, along with a coalition of entertainment industry unions and studios, joined members Jon Voight and Sylvester Stallone in submitting a letter to President Trump outlining proposed steps to bolster film and television production in the United States. Earlier this year, the President appointed Voight and Stallone as Ambassadors to Hollywood."
"SAG-AFTRA has signed on to this letter because we strongly support urgent federal action to address the outsourcing of American production. Prioritizing domestic jobs is essential to maintaining the U.S. entertainment industry's leadership on the global stage."

Podcast '48 Hours' series 'Trained to Kill' part six 'Time Will Tell'
48 Hours, "Mark Stover’s body was still missing when the trial over his death began. Michiel Oakes said the body would prove his innocence, and that he would reveal everything when he took the stand."
Note: Michiel Oakes has not told police where Mark Stover's dead body is at. His sister still searches the pacific northwest for brother's remains.
I saw this when it originally aired. This 6-part series opens it up with a lot of details. Michiel stands a 5'6" and works hard to compensate for his height. He pushes hard to prove he is a master at security guard techniques. If you listen to him. He had snapped from reality.
I believe that Linda and her dad asked him to kill Mark. They both deny it. They are just as responsible. If you listen to Linda. She testified because she loves the attention. It's all about her who lied about Mark stalking her. She is all drama and it makes me sick.!

Classic Movie Flashback 'The Big Chill' 1983 directed by Lawrence Kasdan
THE BIG CHILL distributed by COLUMBIA pictures (1983). The production budget climbed to $8 million and grossed $56 million at the box office. It was directed by Lawrence Kasdan. The cast had 8 main characters and they were backed up by 1960's music. This movie is a wonderful nostalgic trip to a by gone era.
The story is simple. College friends from the University of Michigan hold a reunion 12 years after graduation. One of their close friends had recently committed suicide. These 8 classmates reflect on their lives and how they all changed after college.
This movie was popular among the "baby boomers" from the 1960's. They came out of huge social change with the civil rights movement and the Vietnam War.
What brings the nostalgia is the music from the 1960's. Each song is played in those movie "scenes" which brings back good memories. The album soundtrack peaked at number #17 on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart.
When the film was released in 1983. The album went "gold" selling 500,000 copies. It went "Platinum" in 1984 with over 1 million copies sold.
I never saw it in a movie theater. My brother and sister rented, "The Big Chill" on VHS Home Video. That's where I watched it numerous times.
The Hollywood studios do not make this kind of film anymore. "The Big Chill" didn't depend on flashbacks either. The story surrounded these fun characters who lived through the 1960's.
This is on BluRay. Check it out if only for the music. You will not be disappointed.
