The Bill Cosby timeline of 2 trials, 1 conviction and release from prison.
2004 - Andrea Constand claimed that Bill Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her.
2005 - Andrea waited a full year before speaking in public about that assault. She continued to be in contact with Cosby and didn't file a police report. The District Attorney did not charge Cosby.
2006 - Andrea filed a civil lawsuit against Cosby for sexual battery and defamation. A confidential agreement was accepted by both parties when Cosby gave a 4-hour deposition. He admitted to affairs with young women going back 50 years. The case was settled for $3.4 million that was paid to Andrea from Cosby.
2015 - The Statute-of-Limitations was going to expire within days on aggravated sexual assault. Andrea's case was re-opened in the state of Pennsylvania. Cosby was charged and pled "not guilty." He always maintained that the sex with Andrea was consensual.
2017 - The first trial. 60 women came forward in the news. They accused Cosby of sexual assault reaching back to the 1960's. None of their allegations were entered into Cosby's trial. The Jury dead-locked and the judge dismissed Andrea's case.
2018 - The second trial. The judge allowed 5 of Cosby's female accusers to testify against him. One witness testified in Cosby's defense. She accused Andrea of "saying" that she wanted to "frame" Cosby back in 2005.
2018 - Cosby was convicted on 3 counts of aggravated indecent assault. He received 10 years in prison.
2021 - The Bill Cosby conviction was vacated by a Pennsylvania supreme court. When Cosby spoke in his 2006 deposition. It was a confidential agreement. He was promised by the 2006 district attorney that Cosby would never be charged. That "promise" was never put in-writing.... Cosby's deposition was sealed - but the $3.4 million settlement in 2006 was allowed in the 2018 trial.
The Statute-of-Limitations on sexual assault has expired with all of Cosby's female accusers. That includes Andrea's case which has now been over-turned. Cosby is a free man....

DATELINE on NBC. It is Summer 2021 and the Tokyo Olympic games were cancelled for a year because of COVID-19 (2020).
The U.S. Olympic Trials are in it's 2nd week. The broadcast will run during Prime-time this Friday night on June 25, 2021 - (8/7 to 11/10 p.m.).
"Dateline" will be pre-empted by these trials.

The 48 HOURS (CBS) episode called, "Justice for Ahmaud" that aired on Saturday night (5/22/2021) at 10/9 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 1.28 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.1 million TV viewers in the all important 18-49 adult demographic. "The Good Doctor" (ABC) grabbed 1.15 overall & 0.2 with adults. "U.S. Olympic Trials" (NBC) nabbed 2.37 overall & 0.5 with adults.
This is a repeat segment. There will be no TV recap.

The aging Pierce Brosnan and Tim Roth head the cast in a good-looking trailer.
Movie fans are laughing at the casting of Nick Cannon. Plus, the story looks like "Ocean's 11" or a second rate "Fast & Furious." (I might watch it.).

SILKWOOD from ABC MOTION PICTURES. It was distributed by 20TH CENTURY FOX (1983). It starred Meryl Streep, Kurt Russell and Cher. The production budget climbed to $10 million and grabbed $35 million at the box office.
It's based on the true story of Karen Silkwood (Streep). She works at a plant who builds "Fuel Rods" for "Nuclear Reactors." Karen and her co-workers are exposed to radiation contamination. She becomes a union activist and the plant she works for - doesn't like it.
The plant falls behind on a contract and the employees are forced to work long hours. They become more exposed to radiation. Karen talks with a New York Times reporter and decides to give up private company documents.
Karen drives her car to meet up with the reporter and it looks like she is being followed. The car crashes and the documents are not found among the wreckage. Was she murdered or was it just an accident?.... (In my opinion - she was murdered).
"Silkwood" was nominated for 5 Oscars including best actress for Meryl Streep.

The DATELINE (NBC) episode called, "Breakout" aired Friday night (6/11/2021) at 10/9 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 2.03 million TV Ratings Overall. It reached 0.3 million TV million viewers in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "20/20" (ABC) grabbed 2.72 overall & 0.4 with adults. "Blue Bloods" (CBS) 23.17 overall & 0.2 with adults.
"Breakout." Tennessee. It was a wild police chase at night. An inmate had recently escaped from prison. His name was John Manard who was driving a truck with a female passenger. Her name is Toby Dorr. Police had hoped that John wouldn't hurt other people on the highway. He wasn't going to give up without a fight.
Toby had handled dogs who brought them to prison. The male inmates would prepare her dogs for shelter adoptions. She had then become intimate with John. He would soon break out of prison - hiding inside of a dog crate....

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT on NBC. I used to watch this show a lot and voted for my favorite talent acts. I've been catching up on You-Tube and I've noticed an interesting thing.... There appears to be magic acts copying from season's past on - AGT.
"The Clairvoyants" were a couple who read the minds of human beings and their physical actions. They "Wow'd" audiences and the judges.... They placed 2nd in the 11th TV season (2016).
I have been searching for videos of talent acts I had not seen. What I found was other acts copying "The Clairvoyants." They don't have the originality nor the style of whom they copy.... Find your own talent and originality.
I used all of my votes for "The Clairvoyants."

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT on NBC. I used to be a huge fan of this show. I stopped watching for some reason.... Lately - I've been catching up on all of the winners and other performers. I like all of the magicians, but what I love more are the "illusionists" who scare the audience and the judges. My favorite is "The Sacred Riana."
My second favorite is Nicholas Wallace from "America's Got Talent" (2019). Unfortunately - He never made it past the "Judges Cuts." His second performance wasn't as frightening as his first. Nicholas is like many up-and-coming performers. They still have to perfect their "craft" to be a $1 million dollar act in Las Vegas.
During his audition - He brought onto stage a "haunted" wheelchair and a doll. He used those objects in an "illusion" where something touched human flesh / without physically touching them. When Nicholas picked up that doll and used it. The audience went crazy.... Check it out.!!

My absolute favorite is a female illusionist from Indonesia named, "The Sacred Riana." She made it into the quarter-finals of "America's Got Talent" (2018).... She was eliminated in the first round of "Britain's Got Talent: The Champions" (2019).... She was also the winner of "Asia's Got Talent" (2017).
She's looks like the girl from the Japanese horror film "The Ring" (1998). Her long hair covers the white/chalk face who carries a rag doll. She never talks - but with only a few words. Her audition for "America's Got Talent" (2018) was creepy-fun-horror. I consider it her best as an illusionist and as a scary figure.
At the beginning of her audition. She dropped her doll and the audience went crazy.!! That included the judges. Check it out....

DEFENCE OF THE REALM from ENIGMA PRODUCTIONS (1986). I saw this in an independent movie theater at Portland, Oregon. It didn't receive a big push from distribution in the United States. I had to watch it fast before it closed.... It opened in the United Kingdom (England) and grabbed $750,000 at the box office.
The American title is called, "Defense of the Realm."
Nicholas "Nick" Mullen (Gabriel Byrne) is a newspaper reporter who stumbles onto a great story. Dennis Markham (Ian Bannen) is a prominent member of the British Parliament. Photos are taken of him leaving the home of his "mistress." There is another photo of an East German (KGB agent) leaving that same house.
The press hound Dennis who is accused of being a Russian spy. He resigns from Parliament to salvage his marriage and to quash those spy rumors. Nick discovers that Dennis might have been framed. At the same time - He finds out that a teen runaway was found dead who was caught up in a nuclear disaster. It was near an American military base.
Nick continues to dig up information to expose a possible British military cover-up. He figures out what actually happened inside of that American base. What he doesn't know is that he is being followed and his life is in danger.... A huge bomb explodes inside of Nick's apartment. Was he murdered?
There are so many twists and turns in this mystery thriller. It crackles with much excitement.... This is an underrated movie from 1986.
