Oscar winner Robert Duvall 'Tender Mercies' & TV's 'Lonesome Dove' dies at 95
Robert Duvall is one of my favorite actors of all time. He passed on at age 95 and he will be missed. His movie & TV performances will live on forever.
Fans and critics are going to choose his popular acting roles in, "Apocalypse Now" and "The Godfather." I enjoyed those performances. But, my favorites are in "The Great Santini" (1979) and the western TV mini-series, "Lonesome Dove" (1989). I have watched each one so many times that I know the dialogue by heart.
I've seen his Oscar winning role in "Tender Mercies" (1983) multiple times. He portrays an aging country singer and it was so good. I also watched, "The Apostle" (1997) and thought he deserved the Oscar as Best Actor that year. Duvall was made for the Western too, "Open Range" (2003), "A Night in Old Mexico" (2013), "Wild Horses" (2015).
There are too many wonderful performances to list... Rest in Peace Mr. Duvall.
Below is the trailer for the re-mastered Western series "Lonesome Dove" for DVD. It is awesome.!

Netflix series 'The Lincoln Lawyer' season four gets 3-out-of-5* stars
THE LINCOLN LAWYER from NET-FLIX (2026). Season 4 is now streaming. It stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller who is a defense lawyer at Los Angeles, CA. He is known for driving a classic "Lincoln" car. It is based on the the books written by Michael Connelly.
Matthew McConaughey starred in the 2011 feature film, "The Lincoln Lawyer." I walked into a movie theater to watch it. I thought it was excellent.
Season "Four" started where Season "Three" left off. A dead body was found inside Mickey's car trunk. He is charged with murder and sits in jail as his case moves through the courts.
Mickey's law firm loses clients. Lorna just passed the "bar exam" and is a new defense attorney. She defends him, but is replaced by Maggie who is a prosecutor. She's also his ex-wife. It is an uphill battle as Mickey is targeted by the FBI plus the LAPD. The reason is because the dead body belonged to a con-man named Sam. He is tied to mob families plus a government program on green energy fuel. Millions of dollars are drained from the government.
What I liked is how Maggie defends Mickey in court. She is very good, but that's where the "energy" drops this season. We want to see Mickey in the courtroom because that is where he shines. The final episode is full of excellent drama. It ends on another cliffhanger too that might lead to season 5.

Trailer 'Golden' coming soon.!
GOLDEN from an Independent Film Company (2026). It stars Brian Austin Green who starred in the 1990's TV show, "Beverly Hills 90210."
This is not a trend. Older TV stars plus film stars are getting work with independent producers. Some movies are released into theaters. Others are released into both theaters and streaming online. Many are going straight-to-digital where you can Buy or Rent.
"Golden" looks like it will go into select theaters and quickly stream online. Usually at "YouTube" which has a large audience.
TV fans will probably follow "Golden" because of Brian Austin Green. Remember Luke Perry went into Western movies? He's also an alumnus of "Beverly Hills 90210." His fans followed him. So, there is an audience out there.
I had posted the trailer for "Golden" yesterday but it was taken down on YouTube. Here it is below from "Trailer Feed."
