The production budget climbed to $21 million. It climbs with each box office report to $24 million. As of Feb. 8, 2026. It has grossed $39 million at the world-wide box office. It nabbed $25 million in North America.
The big surprise is the elimination of CGI effects. The family chimpanzee named "Ben" contracted rabies and went on a killing spree. A "little-person" actor was inside a monkey suit with good facial make-up. It was so real that it was.... Scary.

With praise from critics and horror fans. This movie has made $18 million for Paramount. $7 million was added after the release into more Foreign markets.
