The live action movie PAN bombs at the China box office as well

According to "Box Office Mojo" that tracks movie receipts around the world. PAN has grossed $30 million in the U.S. It has pulled in $63 million at the Foreign box office. Total receipts have reached $94 million by Oct. 27, 2015. It is based on the animated Disney film "Peter Pan." The production budget of PAN has climbed past $150 million. According to Hollywood insiders, it has to gross $400 million to break even.

The China box office is known for loving U.S. films. TERMINATOR: GENISYS reached $112 million in that country while it only nabbed $89 million in the U.S. The action movie grossed $350 million at the Foreign box office & the production budget was $155 million.

PAN has only reached $6 million in China & continues to dive in that country. I don't think film audiences are willing to see a live Peter Pan because the animated version is so popular. Remember when Robin Williams played a live Peter Pan?

Native American activists were angry over the casting of Tiger Lily who is portrayed by a white actress named Rooney Mara. Many think a native should've played the role. Tiger Lily is after all a Disney stereotype who doesn't resemble a real native girl at all.
