Jake & Laura are ex-husband & Wife with 2 kids. This TV season, they are both thrown together investigating crimes. They know each other & are funny together. They have a new captain with whom Laura can't stand. Billy & Meredith are thrown together too. The gay male - Max is left in the office to fend for himself. The blonde detective was written out of the TV show.
