'48 hours' Teen girl stabbed to death after joining Computer App 'Kik'

"48 Hours" (CBS) can be seen each Saturday evening at 10/9 p.m. It aired at 9 p.m. (central time) in Albuquerque, NM on KRQE 13. Last night's episode on Sept. 24, 2016 was called, "Killer App." In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 4.82 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.8 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “Saturday night college football" (ABC) grabbed 2.98 overall & 0.8 with adults (8-11 p.m.). “This is us" (NBC) nabbed 2.86 overall & 0.7 with adults (repeat).

"48 Hours" is an investigative program that covers crime & murder in the United States. Last night's episode was reported and narrated by Peter Van Sant.

Killer App.” Nicole Lovell was a happy 13-year-old teen who went missing. Her mom claimed that Nicole spent most of her time on her smartphone. Her body was found and she was stabbed to death by an online predator who might have posed as a possible 14-year-old. Nicole was suicidal and put all her problems online for everyone to see. Police found that she signed onto the computer application called, “KiK.” Her profile was anonymous. She “sneaked” out of her bedroom to meet the man she met on”Kik.”
