Documentary 'Making a Murderer' wins 4 Creative Emmy Awards

MAKING A MURDERER on NETFLIX. The 10-hour documentary has won 4 Emmy Awards including, Best Documentary, Best Editing, Best Writing and Best Directing. It has been seen by millions around the world and spotlights the judicial system that is broken within the U.S. There will be a Season 2 from filmmakers as a continuation of the Steven Avery story.

Brendan Dassey who is the nephew of Steven was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. A judge overturned that conviction last August 2016. Prosecutors have filed an appeal on Sept. 9. Brendan was accused of sexually assaulting and killing Teresa Halbach (2005) and then helping his uncle get rid of her body. Brendan was only 16-years-old at the time and the documentary shows that his confession was coerced by police. He is mentally challenged and the judge overturned his conviction based on that coercion.

If you haven't watched "Making a Murderer." You should, because someone placed Teresa Halbach's car key in the home of Steven Avery. The house was searched by police, but all of a sudden that key appears in the next few days. Who placed it there? Was it the police detectives? Was it a frame up because Steven filed a lawsuit against the police department? That alone makes you angry along with other questionable actions by police in this murder case.
