'Longmire' Season 5 trailer released by 'Netflix'

LONGMIRE on NETFLIX. Season 5 begins Sept. 23, 2016 and will stream online at "Netflix." The official trailer for this next TV season has been released. (view below). The TV show is based on the novels by Craig Johnson and the series is filmed entirely at New Mexico.

Let me get you up to speed. Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) was just beginning a relationship with a lovely Doctor named Donna (Ally Walker). The 4th TV season finale had a cliff-hanger. Walt and Donna were getting intimate in his log cabin when an intruder broke down the front door holding a shot-gun. It was revealed that Donna had a former male patient who stalked her. The season 5 trailer shows us that Walt was shot, but survives. We don't know if Donna was shot and/or killed.

Over 4 TV seasons. Walt had been searching for the man who killed his wife. Barlow Conally (Gerald McRaney) hired Indian casino chairman Jacob Nighthorse (A Martinez) to kill Walt's wife. Jacob in return, hired another man. Barlow's son, Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) discovered what his dad had done at the end of Season 3. Barlow shot and killed his own son to cover up his crimes. Branch worked as a deputy under Walt and they both ran for Absaroka county Sheriff. Walt discovers the whole truth and literally has a "gun duel" with Barlow at Walt's cabin. Barlow is shot dead.

Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) was shot by Walt during the night in the dark forest. Why? Henry was helping Gaby who brought a gun to kill her rapist. That rapist was taking girls to the border of the reservation from the Indian casino, to commit sexual assault. Gaby dropped her gun and Henry went back to retrieve it when Walt arrived. He thought Henry was a suspect and shot his gun into the darkness.

Henry is trying to be "Hector" who is a man who helped troubled Natives on the Indian Reservation. Henry believes in Hector's cause. He helped Gaby recover from her rape, but he's arrested in connection with the shooting of that rapist on the reservation border. Now, Season 5 continues on Sept. 23, 2016. - Wahoo!
