Trailer 'The Thomas Crown Affair' remake in IMAX theaters March 5, 2026
THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR (1968) starred the biggest movie stars of that era, Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. It was a box office hit.
Dunaway had a cameo appearance in the first remake of "Affair" in 1999. It starred Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. I saw it in theaters three times because Russo went topless. It was a box office smash with $125 million.
This second remake of "Affair" stars Michael B. Jordan and it looks real smooth. It opens in theaters March 5, 2026. This time in IMAX.

2026 Movie Poster.Film Review 'Motor City' is throwback to Silent Movies 5-out-of-5 Stars*
MOTOR CITY distributed by INDEPENDENT FILM COMPANY (2026). This action movie opened in theaters on July 24, 2026. It stars a Alan Ritchson (Jack Reacher/Season 1-4).
I walked into a movie theater here at Albuquerque to watch this. When I sit on the edge of my seat throughout a film. That means that I love it and I did with this movie.
The story is simple. Set in Detroit back in 1977. A gangster pushes his girlfriend around outside a nightclub. John (Ritchson) beats up the gangster. The girlfriend leaves with John. The gangster buys off a police detective to set up John. They plant drugs in his car and he goes to prison. John seeks bloody revenge.
This is almost a Silent Film from the 1920's. There is maybe 15 words of dialogue. It's all musical score with several 1970's hit songs. I absolutely loved it.!
What the audience sees are so many "emotions" from each character. We also see what they "think" and "feel" through body movement. It is a rollercoaster ride. I felt every emotion by each character and with the sound-track.
That elevator scene was bloody and violent. It was packed with anger, rage, pain, desperation, strength, hope and vengeance. My eyes focused in on that bloody knife stuck in the floor. The battle and struggle to use it was so intense.... Wow.!!
I cannot say enough about this. What a great idea from the screenplay writer. It turned out to be a "feast" for the eyes. Check it out if you can.

Western Review 'The Isolate Thief' is Gritty, Cold, Brutal and Very Good 4-out-of-5 Stars*
THE ISOLATE THIEF from HIDE-OUT pictures (2026). The tagline for this Western is, "From the Producers of "Old Henry" (2022). That movie is one of the best Westerns in the last decade. (In My Opinion).
"The Isolate Thief" opened in select theaters last July 10, 2026. It never came to Albuquerque theaters. So, I rented it from "Apple-TV." I'm a huge fan of Westerns and this is sooo... good.!!
The story is simple. A young woman is the owner of an outpost during the Civil War. She discovers gold coins. A group of outlaws show up searching for those coins.
As it unfolds. She hides the coins but doesn't tell the outlaws she had found them. The leader of this gang is smart who suspects she stole those coins. He doesn't let on what he is searching for and asks for her help. He knows, that she knows, the outpost area well. It's mind games that eventually lead to violence.
I love authenticity. Especially if the story is set in the old west. The filmmakers spent money on costume design and it shows. The Outlaws show up in blue-coats representing the Yankees of the north. Plus, the backdrop is the bitter cold winter. Wolves hunt the outpost hogs and thieves hunt for gold coins. This young woman is alone and she appears weak. She stays ahead of the game though. Watch closely because you can see her and the villain "thinking."
This reminds me of the classic Westerns from the 1940's to the 1960's. Great story telling.
As a Native-Indigenous male. I enjoyed the Native man who is part of this outlaw gang. He is dressed like them, talks English and his hair is cut short. He isn't the Hollywood western stereotype. A "Savage Indian." Of course, we don't know his tribe or why he's taken up with this gang. We don't need to know because it's all about those gold coins.
"Isolate" comes to DVD Sept. 8, 2026. Check it out. I recommend it.

AI Teaser Trailer 'Odysseus: The Fall' will try to compete with 'The Odyssey' 2026
ODYSSEUS: THE FALL from FOUNTAIN-O (2026). The AI generated movie will be 2-hours long without real people. It uses the likeness of Ash Koosha who is the writer, director and producer of "Odysseus." There are no actors. This is supposed to be the alternative to Christopher Nolan's, "The Odyssey."
"Fountain-O" submitted the AI generated, "Dreams of Violets" to this year's Tribeca film festival (2026). Critics were not impressed.
This is the new trend until AI gets better with storytelling. Progressive filmmakers no longer want to use actors, but only visuals. It saves money as an alternative to big budget movies in Hollywood. My question is, "Why use the likeness of regular people. When you can simply create an animated film? But, they don't want to use real actors. So, the voices are AI generated.
Which brings us to AI storytelling with horrible dialogue. Check out this teaser trailer and the stilted dialogue and the expression-less characters. It just doesn't work. Do you really want to sit in a movie theater for 2-hours watching this?
AI is everywhere now and not just in entertainment. This new trend of AI movies will become an alternative to real film-making. But - for how long? It gets boring after a while.
Below is the AI teaser trailer for "The Odysseus: The Fall."
Nolan's 'The Odyssey' nabs $17.6 Million with Thursday Previews
THE ODYSSEY from UNIVERSAL (2026). This is director Christopher Nolan's newest epic movie. According to "Deadline Hollywood" - The film nabbed $17.6 million with Thursday Night Previews. It stars Matt Damon.
Despite all of the criticisms over casting and the period in which it takes place. "Odyssey" is tracking to become a world-wide box office hit.

Bison tossing elder grandpa goes Mega Viral with millions of views
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK (2026). A grandfather was thrown 10 feet into the air by a wild Bison. He is recovering in a hospital after surgery. The 65-year-old was flipped and had broken several bones in one leg. He told CNN news that he was running in circles to save his grandson. He's glad to be alive because the Bison could've killed him.
Authorities say the Bison will not be put down after attacking the elder male.
The video has gone "mega viral" over the internet. It has been seen around the globe. There are hundreds of "memes" put to music. Plus, reactions from everyone. A t-shirt has been made plus an iPhone case cover. Even wildlife experts are weighing in on why this Bison attacked.
It is "rutting" season where males search for females to mate. This Bison was aggressive earlier and got triggered by a truck. Then, it took aim at the grandfather and his grandson.
Below is a reaction to the video. There is foul language.

Lou Diamond Phillips carries 'Gangland' on bleak Indian Reservation 2-out-of-5 Stars*
GANGLAND from SABAN films (2026). The crime drama is in select movie theaters and streaming online. It stars Lou Diamond Phillips and was directed by Vincent Grashaw. (I rented the movie on Apple-TV).
The story is simple. Richie gets out of prison and returns to his Indian reservation. He re-unites with his Native gang and trouble begins. Veteran Tribal cop Teddy and Sandra (rookie) have to stop him.
Congratulations to the full Native-Indigenous cast. Plus, Lou Diamond Phillips as Teddy who carries the whole film.
With that said.... It is a depressing movie covering the bleak overwhelming despair on this Indian reservation (Oklahoma). It's dark and so is the "lighting" design. The night sequences on the streets and inside the homes are not fully lit. I had to "lean" in to see the characters. Even the day sequences inside houses were darkly lit.
I say depressing because I am Native-Indigenous. I've seen this on my own Indian reservation. There were drugs, alcoholism, suicide and murder. Plus, there were no jobs except with the Tribal government and the BIA (Bureau of Indian Affairs). Tribal members moved off the reservation to seek better opportunities.
Film audiences have seen this before too. The tired "cliches" including the cop caught in-between two rival gangs. Plus, the veteran and his rookie cop partner. It's just set on a reservation instead of in a city.

Yellowstone Park Bison Flips Old Man Into The Air 2026
Hey everybody - I usually don't put local news on this Blog. As a Native/Indigenous male. I think this is important for all visitors who travel to Yellowstone to observe wildlife. Do your history and be prepared if and when animals attack.
According to news reports. It is "rutting" season with the male Bison. They are territorial and want to mate with females. They become aggressive and will charge at any moment.
This male Bison charged a grandfather and his grandson. He caught up with the elder and flipped him into the air. He received injuries to his pelvis.
It happens every year at Yellowstone national park. Wild animals attack including Bison. Many tourists think they can walk freely among the wild and take pictures. Be prepared.

Bio-Pic 'Young Washington' sticks close to history 4-out-of-5 stars*
YOUNG WASHINGTON distributed by ANGEL studios (2026). Over the Fourth of July weekend it grossed $19 million. It exceeded expectations and there will be a sequel called, "1776."
The story is simple. George Washington lost his father at a young age and was raised by his half-brother. He aspires to be in the British army in Virginia - but is rejected. His ambition gets him promoted as a British "major" which he never earned. George knows the land of Virginia and gives a message to the French. He doesn't know that he falls into the French and Indian war. He starts another war between the French and the British. His ambition helps him fight for his own Virginian people. George becomes a hero in the press.
"Young" was filmed in Europe and Canada. The land is beautiful and harsh in Virginia. The lush greens, torrential rain and freezing rivers look great. George is also seen riding his horse over spacious Green Meadows. The costume design is spot on from George, down to the Native American designs. It has to be accurate because of high definition cameras. It didn't look fake at all.
There is a myth that George chopped down a cherry tree proclaiming that, "I cannot tell a lie." It's interesting to see in this bio-pic that he keeps hitting big and small trees with an ax.
As a native/indigenous male. I liked how the natives were portrayed correctly by history. They weren't just Hollywood "savages." I enjoyed this. Check it out.
