Okay.... KILL CODE has some name actors but they are overshadowed by AI. Plus, the horrible auto-tune lines. I watched this twice and it got worse. I hope the actors got paid.

THE FURIOUS distributed by LIONS-GATE (2026.). This is an English language Hong Kong martial arts movie. The production budget has reached $20 million. It has a hard climb to break-even - but nabbed $2.8 million so far. It opened to rave reviews in the U.S.
The story is simple. A deaf man's daughter is kidnapped on the street. She is added to a group of other kids taken by traffickers. The dad is joined by a male news reporter whose wife went missing while she investigated these traffickers.
I walked into a movie theater here at Albuquerque to watch this. I was not disappointed.
This action film is said to be the best since the two "Raid" movies from 10 years ago. I think this surpasses all action productions. Period.!
Within 5 minutes after this movie started. The action is non-stop and it's thrilling plus violent. The martial arts choreography is near perfection. The performers look like they pull no punches. It is so real.
What I find interesting is with our two fighting heroes. They face groups of traffickers without sharp weapons. The dad uses a personal hammer but loses it early on. Their defense is complete martial arts and we pull for them throughout. (I want to see this again!).
If you love action movies like I do. Check this out.

THE FURIOUS distribution in the U.S. is from LIONS-GATE (2025). This movie hit the festival circuit and is being compared to "The Raid" (2011). In terms of action, but both stories are totally different. I'm a huge fan of "Raid" and its' sequel.
"The Furious" looks like a lot of fun with solid action. I might be heading into a movie theater to watch it.

NEGLECTED from INAUGURAL Entertainment (2026). This mystery thriller was said to be a "Theatrical Dump." Which means that the studio didn't believe in the movie. It got a limited release back on May 8, 2026 and "bombed" over that weekend.
I walked into an empty theater here at Albuquerque to watch this. I was completely sold by the movie trailer.
The story is simple. The son of a veteran police detective is kidnapped by a serial killer. That son is buried alive and the killer wants the dad to solve three murders. The son has 8 hours to live.
What a great premise right?.... Right..... That's where it ends because this film rips off so many thrillers from the 1990's.
Spoiler: What made me laugh was when the serial killer gave up clues. All the detective did was have a flashback and he solved each murder. It was so damn easy.
Spoiler: What made me laugh even more.... The veteran detective freaks out over those gruesome murders. Like he had never seen anything like this in his long career. I could go on, but I will not.
Clearly this was an independent movie. It was filmed in 12 days. David Lipper served as producer, screenwriter and director. He's also in this as an actor. He clearly was influenced by 1990's thrillers. Especially "Seven" (1995) with Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt.
That is all fine, but why not go in a new direction? An example is..., let the detective "sweat" it out and re-open these murder cases on his own. Let him become a real detective and don't give him any clues....
You can watch "Neglected" over at Prime Video.
NOTE: This trailer on the surface is darkly lit. I think the reason is because most scenes were filmed at night. I had to watch it three times to see it clearly. Independent cinema.
It is set in Oklahoma and there are Native Indigenous influences here. Interesting.
Dateline Premium with Andrea Canning.... "In the summer of 2021, charismatic young art student Katelyn Markham vanished from her Ohio townhouse. Her father, Dave Markham, set out to find his daughter with the help of her fiancé, John Carter."
"It would take two years for her remains to be found and a decade longer before someone close to Katelyn was held responsible: her fiancé, John."
"In this episode, Andrea talks with Dave about Katelyn’s Law, a bill which aims to remove the statute of limitations for those accused of abusing a corpse and how he hopes it will help other families find justice. Plus, he tells Andrea about his upcoming plans with the dogged investigator who solved Katelyn’s case."

From the producers of the western film, "Old Henry" (2021). That was and is one of the best Westerns I've seen in the last decade. I actually walked into a movie theater to watch it.
"The Isolate Thief" looks to be another good one. I think I'll walk into a movie theater again because I love Westerns.... Wahoo.!

NBC Media Village Press Release....
Lester Holt Reports for a Special ‘Dateline’ This Friday, June 5 at 10/9 p.m.
"Friday’s all-new Dateline will go inside the Luigi Mangione investigation, revealing exclusive new details and insight in the case that continues to captivate the world. For the first time, two NYPD Major Case Squad detectives who worked on the case take Dateline through the lead-up to the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson and the urgent manhunt that followed."
"Retired Detective Sergeant John Griffin tells Dateline anchor Lester Holt about his first reaction to seeing the weapon used in the killing, 'It had something on the front, like a homemade suppressor or silencer-type thing.'
Asked by Holt whether that was common, Griffin responded, "No. In 25 years, I don’t think I’ve ever actually encountered a silencer before that."
"The one-hour special, entitled A Killing in Midtown, also features a member of Thompson’s inner circle speaking publicly about the case for the first time. Jeff Alter, a friend and former colleague, tells Holt about the social media reaction to Thompson’s death, 'Social media is fast and cruel, people posting, you know, smiley faces that — that somebody was murdered just — it’s just beyond me,' Alter explained.
"He added that the response was, 'really cruel,' particularly for those who knew Brian personally."
"A Killing in Midtown also features interviews with people who met Mangione while he traveled, including a pro soccer player in Thailand and a yoga teacher in Hawaii. Mangione has pleaded not guilty to the murder."
20/20 (ABC).... "A man wakes up to find his fiancée dead. A shocking confession changes everything."
48 Hours (CBS).... "Veteran reporter Joe Nocera, of The Free Press, investigates a 94-year-old murder case that deserves a second look: the kidnapping and murder of Charles Lindbergh, Jr. Little Lindy was the infant son of the most famous man in the world at the time: an aviator who had achieved impossible feats."
"Unsurprisingly, the case was a media sensation in 1932: especially when German immigrant Bruno Hauptmann was tried and executed for the crime. Hauptmann professed his innocence to the end: but could he have been telling the truth? This is a series that asks: was this case America's first great conspiracy?"
Dateline (NBC).... "Hey Dateline fans! As a bonus for you, we’re sharing the trailer for 'Five Miles From Home' an all-new original podcast series from Dateline and Keith Morrison."
"When beloved high school junior Micaela Costanzo disappears on her way home from track practice, the race to find her leads to unlikely suspects, simmering rage, and unimaginable betrayal. Keith Morrison takes us to a small Nevada casino town to find out what really happened that night under the desert sky."
