There is a full list of over 100 Film Noir movies from the 1940s-1950s-1960s. I've seen 100 of them and I have ranked my next 26 to 50 favorites below. It was tough too because there are so many good films.
Film Noir is mainly Black & White movies consisting of murder, gangsters, cops, detectives, private eyes and Femme Fatales. All dealing in darkness and more darkness. It is a genre long gone in 2026. Except for a few color films.
I am a huge fan of Film Noir like I'm a fan of Westerns. - Roscoe Pond.

NETFLIX to reboot Larry McMurtry's 'Lonesome Dove' from 1985 novel
LONESOME DOVE written by LARRY McMURTRY (1985). Net-Flix will produce a new series based on the popular western novel. No date has been set for filming.
It was adapted into a 4-part TV mini-series for CBS. It premiered in February of 1989. The first night hauled a massive 44 million TV viewership. It had an all-star cast led by Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones and Angelica Huston.
The western was revived on television after a long dry spell.
The story is simple. Two former Texas Rangers decide to have one last cattle drive from Texas to Montana. Along the way. They gain and lose friendships. Old lovers emerge and truth is revealed. They also face wild Indians and other killers. The drive north is brutal but worthwhile.
The 1989 TV-mini-series still stands as the best western ever filmed. It now streams on the internet over many channels. The best way to watch is on Blu-Ray (IMO).
There was a sequel, "Return to Lonesome Dove" that wasn't as popular nor as acclaimed. The original cast didn't return because the writing wasn't as good as the first series. There have been several "Dove" TV series adapted without much success.
All I can say to Net-Flix is, "You better have a damn good script to equal the 1989 original."

25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001 'Attack on America'
SEPTEMBER 11, 2001. I recall where I was on that day when America was attacked by Terrorists. I worked at the Southern California Indian Center at Los Angeles. It was 9 (am) on the west coast and 12 (pm) in New York.
Two airplanes already hit the Twin Towers in New York City. As the news unfolded. Our executive director sent all employees home. I remained at the L.A. office and watched the news in shock. Two more planes were hijacked by terrorists and the twin towers later collapsed. Many Americans lost their lives that day.
Osama Bin Laden was said to be the mastermind behind the attacks. He was later killed by American soldiers during the Barack Obama Presidency.
We remember what happened and think about the lives lost.

New Western Remake 'Angel and the Badman' in theaters Oct. 9, 2026
ANGEL AND THE BADMAN from ANGEL studios (2026). This is the 2nd western remake which stars Zackary Levi, Tommy Lee Jones and Neil McDonough. It opens in movie theaters Oct. 9, 2026.
The official trailer was just released and it is pretty damn good. If anybody knows me. I love westerns and I just might walk into a theater to watch this.
The 1st "Badman" remake was released in 2009 on the Hallmark TV channel. It starred Lou Diamond Phillips.
The original "Angel" starred John Wayne in 1947. It has become a classic. It certainly is one of Wayne's best performances in a genre he dominated for decades.
The story is simple with each western. A ruthless outlaw is shot and injured near a desolate farm. He is being tracked by gunmen who want him dead. A Quaker family takes care of this outlaw so he can get back on his feet.
